Ground Control Studios announced today that it is bringing Hyper Gods to Switch. The 2D cinematic shoot ’em up is slated for early 2020 on Nintendo’s console.

Playtonic and Team17 released Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair on various platforms this week, including Switch. As is tradition at this point, Digital Foundry examined the game to see how it holds up from a technical perspective.
When playing docked, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair maintains a resolution of 1360×765. Portable mode reduces the image to 960×540. Fortunately, the platformer almost always run at 60 frames per second on Switch.
The roguelike card-based RPG Little Dungeon Stories is coming to Switch, Breakfast Studio and GrabTheGames announced today. A release is planned for Q1 2020.

The Switch eShop has updated in Japan, and a demo for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD has just gone live. We imagine that it will be offered in other regions soon as well, but as long as you have a Japanese Nintendo Account, you should be able to download it. Full English support is included.

Pokemon Masters hasn’t exactly had the best launch. Fans haven’t responded favorably to the mobile game, but producer Satoshi Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi today issued a letter addressing various complaints. Additionally, they apologized for the amount of problems the game has had and lack of content. DeNA believed that the current set-up and EX Challenge would be sufficient, but now know that EX they’re not for everyone.

Inn Games is adding a special bonus to its new Switch game Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. The original arcade version of Bubble Bobble from 1986 will be included, meaning there’ll be even more content to explore.
Bubble Bobble 4 Friends launches for Switch in Europe on November 19. It will be followed by the North American release early next year.
Publisher The Irregular Corporation and developer Mediatonic have announced Murder By Numbers, a 90s-themed Hollywood detective game. It’s coming to Switch sometime in 2020.
