At E3 2019, XSEED kindly invited us to their booth for a behind-closed-doors interview and several gameplay demos for all of their upcoming Switch releases. In part eight of this series, I’ll be taking a look at Rune Factory 4 Special and how the upgraded port stacks up on Nintendo Switch.

A few different events are now up and running in Fire Emblem Heroes.

First, Bound Hero Battle: Morgan & Morgan is live. Morgan: Lad from Afar and Morgan: Lass from Afar, both from Fire Emblem Awakening, are waiting in Special Maps. And to celebrate the event, a new summoning event is live.

Game Informer recently had a chance to speak with Final Fantasy X producer Yoshinori Kitase. During the discussion, Kitase commented on the now infamous laughing scene, the divisive reaction to Blitzball, and the possibility of Final Fantasy X-3 happening.

My Nintendo is celebrating the launch of Dr. Mario World on mobile with a pair of rewards. In North America, two new wallpapers are available. The designs, shown in this post, cost 50 Platinum Points each.

DJ Octavio and Li’l Judd are the focus of the latest art for the final Splatfest in Splatoon 2. They’ll be siding with Team Chaos for the event. We have the new art attached to this post, which you can see above.

Splatoon 2’s final Splatfest will be held between July 18 and July 21.

Nintendo has opened the full-blown website for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. You can access it here.

The site includes a trailer and plenty of information about the game. You’ll also be able to learn about the various heroes and enemies that are appearing.

Fans have long been waiting to play Final Fantasy VIII on modern platforms. Square Enix delivered on those desires at E3 2019 last month when it announced a remastered version, which is coming to Switch.

Famitsu recently spoke with Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase to talk more about Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. Kitase commented on why now is the right time to revisit the game, difficulties during development, and more. We’ve prepared a full translation of the interview below.

Reggie Fils-Aime passed over the role of Nintendo of America’s president to Doug Bowser earlier this year. Reggie retired in April, making Bowser the new boss.

Recently, Mashable spoke with Bowser, who talked about the most important thing Reggie shared with him. He pointed to the importance and admiration of Nintendo’s characters, as well as the fans’ passion. Ultimately, Bowser views his top priority as making people smile.
