Nintendo shared new data today revealing the top 20 best-selling games on the Japanese Switch eShop for August 2024.

A few new games manage to make the list. Gundam Breaker 4, Castlevania Dominus Collection, and Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash all appear for the first time. Meanwhile, Suika Game manages to appear on top.

CounterAttack: Uprising was updated on all platforms today, including Switch, to version 1.1.5.

The update features improved cross-region online cross-platform matchmaking, bigger player controllable capital ships, and lots of small improvements and enhancements. A new global lobby will help pilots find each other more easily.

Cash Cow DX is heading to Switch, publisher Flynn’s Arcade and developer Pixel Games announced today. A release is scheduled for September 26, 2024.

Cash Cow DX is an arcade-inspired title inspired by experiences from the 80s. Players will go on a journey to recover their riches from the greedy Pig Pockets.

Battling through modern-day Shibuya may seem like a fantastical story to some, but for fans of Japanese games, Reynatis may not be their first battle down the iconic streets of Japan’s most cutting-edge cultural hub. The region’s layout is as true to the real Shibuya as possible – and traversing its streets might just feel a bit more magical than usual this time, though maybe not as flashy as one might expect, unless of course you feel like spending some time in Wizard Jail, or whatever its called.

Coromon: Rogue Planet is in the works for Switch, publisher indie.io and developer TRAGsoft revealed today. The project does not yet have a release window.

Coromon: Rogue Planet is a new monster taming game with turn-based combat. Players will choose a starter Coromon, upgrade gear, and battle across the wilderness of Velua.

Temtem just went live with its latest update, version 1.8. This will be the last major patch for the game.

It’s a big update, with Crema making a shift towards “easier everything” as well as a “kinder economy.” The game now has better Luma and Umbra rates, a permanent Store, an improved Saipark, an option to skip combat animations, the chance to select and complete any Tamer Pass at any given moment, new items, additional Pansuns during the campaign, and more.

Funky Can Creative today unveiled PopSlinger Vol. 2 – Loveless, a sequel to the previous game. It will launch for Switch on October 9, 2024.

PopSlinger Vol. 2 – Loveless involves going on a mission to rescue Ria, the heroine from the first game. It builds on the previous title, “delivering a fresh and evolved experience with a bold new story, enhanced mechanics, and an all-new coffee-powered twist.”
