Bandai-Namco shared a Japanese language trailer showcasing both the story and systems of the definitive edition of Tales of Vesperia, the Switch game releasing on January 11 worldwide. You can view a description of the game from the developer and the trailer below.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition includes up-scaled screen resolution, characters, events, and costumes that were never released outside of Japan, as well as introducing two new playable party members. Flynn Scifo, the main character’s best friend and rival, and Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition uses a specialized iteration of the Tales of series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while other party members are controlled by a customized set of A.I. commands. Players can swap between any of the four characters at any time during battles and can perform physical attacks, Magic Artes or even powerful Mystic Artes.

Much like in North America and Europe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is also making history in Australia. It’s been announced that the new Switch title is the fastest-selling Nintendo console game in Australian history. The game is also the fastest-selling eShop release.

Five out of the ten best-selling Nintendo home console releases have been on Switch, including Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu / Eevee, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Smash sold 80% better than Super Mario Odyssey at launch while also beating the sales of Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8.

Every now and then a Switch eShop game falls under the radar. That’s might be the case with Trybit Logic, which just came out stateside last week and lands in Europe tomorrow.

Trybit Logic is a puzzle game made by HIMACS. We’re told that it caters to engineers and those with a programming mindset by exploring bitwise operators. The series, which is also on mobile, has been well-received in Japan with over 350,000 downloads. NEP G.K. has localized the Switch release and is looking to connect with fans interested in the engineering side of games and bring similar content to an English-speaking audience.

Originally scheduled for February 7, Langrisser I & II will now release on April 18. The team will be using the extra time to improve its quality.

Langrisser I & II may also be getting a demo in the future. Although it’s under consideration, nothing has been confirmed at present.
