Nintendo shipped Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Switch’s launch in 2017. Hyrule Warriors, another Zelda-themed title, was added to the system’s library earlier this year. This streak may continue in the future, as Eurogamer claims that “Nintendo is keen to have a Zelda game launch on Switch every year.”

The company has many possibilities at its disposal going forward. Last weekend, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma seemingly teased Skyward Sword for Switch. Nintendo could also bring over the Wii U versions of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. There also hasn’t been a new 2D Zelda in awhile, and we’re bound to get another 3D entry at some point – just not next year.

Meanwhile, a lot has been made about a recent comment from Game Informer editor Imran Khan who said on a podcast that “the next Zelda will probably be sooner than we think.”

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

When Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai announced the World of Light mode for the game, he made it clear that it’s not quite like Subspace Emissary from Brawl. But after showing the intro, some fans might have unrealistic expectations as to how many cutscenes will be present. Nintendo Treehouse’s JC Rodrigo recently clarified to Game Informer that there will be a few cutscenes, “but it’s really more on focusing on the loot grind, and that flow of getting Spirits.”

Rodrigo stated the following about World of Light:

A new month rolled right on in today. Now that we’re in December, we want to know what you’ve been playing.

Have you started up something entirely new for the month? Maybe trying out something from the huge amount of games that were on sale from Black Friday week? No matter the case, let us know in the comments below.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will give out a small bonus if you own Pokemon: Let’s Go. If you have Pikachu save data, you’ll be provided with the Partner Pikachu Spirit. Eevee save data will net you the Partner Eevee Spirit.

Fortunately, both can be accessed normally as well. Complete challenges and they’ll be yours, even without save data.

A listing on the eShop is showing a new Switch game from Nada Studio. On December 13, the developer will be releasing Starman – a puzzle game that “will keep you learning and thinking outside the box.”

We have the following overview and trailer:

Animus: Stand Alone is coming soon to Switch, Tenbirds Games has announced. The tactical action RPG will be out as early as next week.

Here’s an overview for the title as well as a trailer:

Ark: Survival Evolved finally debuted on Switch this week. Get a look at plenty of footage in the video below.

Update (12/1): We’ve added the full patch notes below.

Original (11/29): The next big update for Kirby Star Allies has gone live. Nintendo and HAL Laboratory just started distribution of version 4.0.0.

Today’s update adds The Three Mage Sisters, Susie, Magalor, and Taranza as new Dream Friends. Heroes in Another Dimension is also in as a new mode. We’ll add in the full patch notes here once Nintendo publishes them.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and its standalone Torna expansion received unexpected updates last night. Out of nowhere, Nintendo and Monolith Soft added the Massive Melee Mythra outfit to the game. This is the costume Mythra wears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Spirit.

Unfortunately, it might not be immediately clear as to how players can obtain the outfit. We do have some additional details as well as footage that gives more precise instructions.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is less than two months away from launching on Switch. Like other Nintendo titles, there will be an offer for My Nintendo members.

Those who pre-order New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe on the eShop by January 13 will receive double the Gold Points. The extra points will be added to your account by January 18.

Keep in mind that you can’t actually pre-load just yet, as it sounds like this will begin on December 11. Also, while the offer has technically only been confirmed for Europe thus far, it should be extended to North America as well since that’s been the case with every similar My Nintendo pre-order bonus.
