Game Informer managed to get some hands-on time with NBA 2K19, and has detailed a number of improvements being made to this year’s title. Here’s the full breakdown:

Dragalia Lost

Back in April, Nintendo announced a surprise partnership with Cygames on a new mobile game called Dragalia Lost. Recently, Japanese magazine Famitsu spoke with a couple of the developers working on the project. Nintendo’s Hideki Konno and Cygames’ Hiroki Matsuura participated in the discussion.

We now have a translation of the interview. Continue on below to read it in full.

MercurySteam worked very closely with Nintendo on last year’s Metroid: Samus Returns. That wasn’t the first time the studio collaborated with a Japanese company, as Konami was present when the team was creating the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow games.

In a new interview, MercurySteam’s Enric Álvarez was asked about the differences in working with Japanese and western publishers. Álvarez specifically brought up Nintendo and stated that they value quality, polish, and player satisfaction above all else.

Earlier in the week, we found out that Kefla will be joining Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 thanks to the latest issue of V-Jump. Bandai Namco has since come forward with the first screenshots below.

Kefla will be added as a DLC character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. No word yet on when she’ll be available.

During the latest Feh Channel broadcast for Fire Emblem Heroes, a new Forging Bonds event was announced. This involves forging bonds on the battlefield and growing closer to Heroes. Players can unlock and view special conversations by growing closer to the event characters.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have now provided further information as to how Forging Bonds works. Continue on below for the full rundown.

Bandai Namco published the first set of screenshots for base Goku and base Vegeta in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Take a look at the images below.

These two characters are the next DLC additions for Dragon Ball FighterZ. They should be available for purchase when the game launches for Switch in September.

Taiko Drum Master: Nintendo Switch Version! launched in Japan this week. Often as we see with games, datamining has started. There’s one interesting element in particular uncovered thus far.

Above is an English logo datamined for Taiko Drum Master: Nintendo Switch Version!, known as Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun. Of course, the same name was included in a recent Australian classification. At this point, many are expecting an official overseas release to be announced in the near future.

Thanks to Nikola for the tip.

Digimon Survive

Update (7/21): Bumped to the top. More screenshots added.

Original (7/20): Following its reveal in V-Jump, the official website for Digimon Survive has opened. You can access it here. Note that there isn’t much to see at present, though we did get some information a few days ago as shared here.

One thing the site does have is first screenshots. Below are the images:

Spacelords

Metroid: Samus Returns developer MercurySteam launched the asymmetric online adventure game Raiders of the Broken Planet last year. Today, the studio announced that the title is receiving a reboot and will become “Spacelords”. MercurySteam does have interest in bringing the revamped game for Switch, but it’s unclear if it will happen.

Director Enric Álvarez has said that Spacelords “would especially fit into the Switch’s catalog.” But as a relatively small team that is self-financed, MercurySteam “didn’t have the capacity to include it.”
