Earlier in the week, we heard that Nintendo was filing something at Universal Citywalk. We just didn’t know what.
Unfortunately, what was taking place was seemingly less exciting than most had imagined. An attendee has confirmed that a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament was taking place. Nintendo may share some footage from the event, but it sounds like there isn’t a whole lot more to it.
Earlier today, Panic Button held a lengthy Reddit AMA. The studio discussed its Switch ports, working with the system, porting process, its relationship with Nintendo, future project, and a whole lot more.
Here’s a summary of the notable points:
Square Enix has one more commercial up for Octopath Traveler with the game releasing this week. Check out the advert below.
Just as we mentioned a short while ago, Galak-Z: Variant S was unexpectedly added to the Switch eShop today. Have a look at some footage below.
The latest update for Ys VIII on Switch is now available. NIS America just started distribution of version 1.0.4.
With the new patch, there should be support for Japanese voices. NIS America also implemented aesthetic refinements during cut-scenes.
Back in April, we discovered a PEGI rating for Guts and Glory on Switch. A listing on the North American eShop confirms that a release is happening next week.
The store page lists Guts and Glory for July 19. It’ll cost $14.99.
Galak-Z: Variant S was originally planned for June 28 on Switch. GungHo Online Entertainment missed that date, but not by much. Galak-Z: Variant S is actually out right now on the eShop.
Originally, the game was going to cost $9.99 on Switch. Something apparently changed along the way, as it’s free to download.
The popular indie game Undertale was announced for Switch earlier this year during a Nintendo Direct. There’s been little news since, but Amazon Japan has come through with new information.
According to the retailer, Undertale is launching September 15 in Japan. A physical copy will be offered. Amazon Japan has Undertale down for 4,320 yen.
Pokemon GO is hosting the next round of Professor Willow’s Global Challenge this weekend. The event starts July 14, and lasts through July 15.
The challenge involves meeting the requirements during Pokemon GO Fest in Chicago. If each area achieves its respective goals, Candy-related bonuses will unlock starting July 16. This includes bonuses for catching Pokemon and participating in Raid Battles. Trainers can also unlock a bonus to reduce the distance needed to hatch Eggs.
Assuming all goals are reached, players will be able to receive up to five free Raid passes when they spin a Photo Disc at a Gym during Zapdos Day. On July 21, Zapdos will be appear in Raid Battles around the world for a three-hour period. All Zapdos here will know the Fast Attack Thundershock, and there’s a chance you’ll encounter a shiny version.
