Limited Run Games, a distributor of physical releases, is officially on board with Switch. Thimbleweed Park is the company’s first release, and pre-orders went live a couple of weeks ago.

In just a few days, reservations are confirmed to have already surpassed 10,000 units. Due to that success, Limited Run intends to continue with the open pre-order system on Switch.

Thimbleweed Park will still technically be a limited release. Limited Run says that once it’s manufactured, there will be no reprints.

We’ve known that Square Enix has had plans to bring Dragon Quest XI to Switch for a very long time. Even before the system had its name, back when it was known as NX, there was talk about putting the RPG on Nintendo’s newest platform. Yet even after a few years, we’ve yet to see a single piece of media for the Switch version.

So why make such an early announcement? In an interview with Game Informer, Dragon Quest XI producer Hokuto Okamoto spoke about Square Enix confirming Dragon Quest XI for Switch when it did.

Yet another weapon, the Tri-Slosher Nouveau, is now available in Splatoon 2. See it in action through the gameplay video below.

Yesterday, a new Nintendo patent was made available for public viewing. The company is protecting an idea for a game system with “a plurality of information processing apparatuses that are capable of communicating with each other.”

Digital Trends, who stumbled upon the patent, points out that the apparatuses are found inside separate screens. When multiple screens are touched, information can be exchanged for new game experiences.
