Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker reaches Switch and 3DS next month. On both platforms, Nintendo is including new stages based on Super Mario Odyssey. But rather than adding on, these levels are replacing older content.
Super Bell Hill, Conkdor Canyon, Shadow-Play Alley, and Clear Pipe Cruise were in the original Wii U version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Nintendo’s official Japanese website confirms that they have been swapped out with the new Super Mario Odyssey levels on Switch and 3DS. We’re not talking about a tremendous amount of content here, but it looks like you’ll need the Wii U version if you’re really interested in trying out those Super Mario 3D World stages.
Nintendo has posted a video showing off the new Super Mario Odyssey levels in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Switch and 3DS. Check out the gameplay below.
A demo for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was made available on the Japanese Switch and 3DS eShops last night. In Europe, the same option is now available as well.
Here’s an English overview trailer for the game:
Expect the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to go live in North America soon as well.

Some of the first reviews are starting to emerge for Mario Tennis Aces. We’ve rounded up some of the early verdicts below.
Last September, Playdead revealed that the acclaimed title Inside would be released on Switch. We hadn’t heard anything since then, but Famitsu confirms today that the game is releasing on the eShop worldwide next week.
That’s not all though. In addition to Limbo, the studio’s previous title Limbo is seeing a Switch version as well. It’ll be out on the same day as Inside.
SNK and NIS America still have a couple of characters to announce for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. But thanks to the game’s PlayStation 4 trophy list, they’ve been revealed early.
The Donkey Kong Adventure DLC for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is pretty massive. Ubisoft has said that it’ll contain around ten hours of gameplay, but that wasn’t always the plan.
In an interview with Eurogamer, developer Davide Soliani revealed that the original plan was for the DLC to be “a small experience, two to three hours, one world.” That’s in contrast to how the content is now, with tons of gameplay, new music, and new elements for the combat system.
