Kirby Star Allies will have some sort of amiibo support. We just don’t know about the specifics of the functionality at present.
A number of outlets were recently able to go hands-on with Kirby Star Allies, including GameXplain. Footage provided by the YouTube channel shows the main menu, which houses the amiibo tab. We should have more details about Kirby Star Allies’ amiibo support leading up to release.
SEGA recently announced that the Super Sonic DLC in Sonic Forces will be made free forever. That wasn’t the original plan, however.
The Super Sonic DLC launched at the end of December for free. After about a month, it was intended to cost $2. SEGA ended up reversing that decision a couple of weeks ago.
Miyamoto on how the animated Mario movie with Illumination came to be, now working on the screenplay
During Nintendo’s financial results briefing, the company made the new animated Mario movie with Illumination official. Shigeru Miyamoto and Chris Meledandri will be co-producing. At the Q&A portion of the briefing, Miyamoto shared more details on how the partnership came to be.
Miyamoto started out by saying that he’s been considering an animated movie for many years. However, in his view, creating games and movies aren’t really that similar.
The end of Miitomo was announced last month. But as the sun sets on one Nintendo mobile app, the company is gearing up for something entirely new. Earlier in the week, Mario Kart Tour was revealed for smart devices.
As of now, we know almost nothing about Mario Kart Tour. Literally the only information we have is that it’s releasing in the fiscal year ending in March 2019. That’s it. Not a single gameplay detail.
That means it’s up for us to think about the possibilities for Mario Kart Tour. Will it retain the same basic style of gameplay that we know of in which the perspective is set from behind the racer you’re playing as? How will the game play on mobile devices? Who should be on the roster? If you have any thoughts about Mario Kart Tour, be sure to share them with us in the comments below.
Miitomo has been updated with more content. Users will find returning stages with more items.
“Folklore in the forest! Fairy Fashion” is the returning theme. The stages provide the following:

Trinket Studios may not be finished with Battle Chef Brigade. When asked about the possibility of updating the game with online support, the developer said that “some fun surprises” are planned for this year.
Trinket said:
Thanks so much! We have some fun surprises for this year, though since there are only three of us, we can't do it all at once 🙂

No word yet on what Trinket Studios has in store. If we hear about anything, we’ll be sure to bring the news to you.
The localization of Song of Memories was announced this week. In both North America and Europe, the game will be published by PQube.
Fans of physical releases will be happy to hear that Song of Memories won’t be an eShop exclusive. It will be sold at retailers, and Amazon UK has already opened pre-orders here. We also have the game’s boxart above.
