Senran Kagura Burst could have ended up with a very different boxart for Europe. Originally, PQube was toying around with an idea that “would have featured Hikage, and would have had a plastic sleeve around the box that would slide off. Hikage’s out clothing would have been on the sleeve only, so that peeling off the sleeve would mimic Senran Kagura‘s well-known clothing destruction feature.”

The image below is what PQube went with for the final product. While the initial idea was abandoned, head of marketing Geraint Evans says it could be revisited at some point.

A new piece of concept art from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has shown up on the official series Facebook page. This time around, Nintendo has shown off the lift entrance to Shrines of Trials.

Here’s what Nintendo has to say about the image:

“This concept art showcases the design of the lift entrance to Shrines of Trials, which are located in variety of locations throughout the land of Hyrule. In the center, there’s a Sheikah Eye symbol.”

Thanks to ZadeHart for the tip.

Update: For what it’s worth, here’s a look at what things look like when you throw PS4 and Xbox One into the mix:

Original: Data collected by Google Trends indicates that consumers have a much bigger interest in Switch compared to its predecessor, the Wii U. The phrase “pre order Nintendo Switch” is seeing roughly five times the number of searches as “pre order Wii U” prior to launch. The latter phrase only experienced about 20 percent of the number of searches that the former one has had. Also, the term “Wii U” only had had more searches than the current data for “Nintendo Switch” during the week of its launch.

It’s worth noting that “pre order Wii” earned roughly 47 percent of what Switch is receiving now. However, we should point out that things were much different in 2006, as online shopping / pre-ordering wasn’t nearly as prominent as it is now.

It took a few tries, but a Pokemon Global Mission has finally been successful. Pokemon Sun/Moon players were tasked with making one million trades at the GTS, and it looks like that goal has been reached. Players will receive 2,000 Festival Coins as a result.

You still have until February 14 at 00:00 UTC to participate. If two million trades are registered by then, a Friend Ball will also be given out as a reward.

Data miners are up to their usual tricks, and have already poked through the files of Fire Emblem Heroes following its launch yesterday. A few interesting images have been discovered showing Tharja and Robin wearing Christmas outfits.

Some fans wonder of these images were intended to be used as part of a Christmas campaign in 2016. Fire Emblem Heroes only just came out yesterday, but Nintendo was originally planning on having it ready by the end of last year.
