Saber Interactive confirmed yesterday that NBA Playgrounds on Switch won’t have online play at launch. Soon after it releases, an update will be prepared to add in the functionality.

Saber Interactive now tells Polygon about other features that will be coming to all versions of the game. First, NBA Playgrounds will be getting an “early update” that bring in two-on-two online functionality. There will also not be any way to play with friends at launch and online play will be designated to just matchmaking to start with. This will also be patched in later on.

Here’s an interesting little note about the New 2DS XL. With the new system, Nintendo cut down on the length of the stylus that’s included. It may not be a massive deal or a drastic change, but one that you may care to know about in any case.

Within the past few days, it seemed as though Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions had leaked for 3DS. Data for the game was found sitting on Nintendo’s eShop servers, and that was followed soon after with an apparent icon.

Adding to that, Kotaku has some additional evidence that Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions is the real deal. When the game’s icon surfaced this past week, the person who shared it also posted the icon for Ever Oasis – another 3DS title. Kotaku played Ever Oasis this week at a preview event and verified that the icon is legitimate. Since it hadn’t appeared elsewhere, it would appear that the icon posted for Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions can also be trusted.

At this point, I think it’s safe to say that Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions will be announced soon. A similar situation occurred with Zelda: Twilight Princess HD.

In the latest episode of The Ben Heck Show, hacking enthusiast Ben Heck managed to test the forgotten SNES PlayStation prototype that Sony created for Nintendo. This machine never saw commercialization due to the partnership of Nintendo with Philips in order to create CD games, and it was ultimately the precursor of the first Sony’s PlayStation.

However, since it was first discovered a few years back, this prototype has ended in Ben Heck’s hands and now we got a video that shows how he tests every component and finally achieves to make it load a CD-ROM based game.

You can see the full video below. It really is fascinating.
