The popular indie farming game Stardew Valley is making its way to consoles, including Wii U. ConcernedApe has revealed that we’ll be seeing it on the eShop in Q4 2016. Chucklefish and Sickhead Games are assisting with the port.

In its announcement post, ConcernedApe mentioned “the possibility of utilizing special console features like the Wii U’s second screen”.

For those who haven’t heard of Stardew Valley previously, the trailer below should give you a good idea as to what it’s about.

Natsume is handling Harvest Moon: Skytree Village in North America. But in Europe, Rising Star Games will be publishing. The company has announced that PAL regions will have the game sometime during Spring 2017.

Rising Star Games was also in charge of 2015’s Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley in Europe. The publisher said it saw success with that title.

Original (6/4): It’s been a huge week for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero news. XSEED announced that they’re working with WayForward on a retail version, and now we have a final release date.

GameStop has started accepting pre-orders here. The listing says that Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will be out on September 27, which WayForward confirmed on Twitter.

There’s also a tentative boxart:

The physical version of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will go for $29.99. It’s the “Risky Beats” retail release featuring a copy of the game and a musical selections CD containing over 20 songs from the soundtrack.

RCMADIAX announced today that its next digital collection of games will be released as Tap Tap Arcade 2 on July 7. The news applies to all major regions: North America, Europe, and Australia. Included in the package will be the exclusive game Volcano.

Mighty Rabbit and Sekai Project have announced a new partnership which will see the Ren’Py engine come to platforms that support Unity. By doing so, visual novels made with the technology can make their way to practically every major gaming platform, including Wii U and 3DS.

Reggie Fils-Aime isn’t the only Nintendo bigwig at E3 this year. Shigeru Miyamoto and Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma have also been spotted by the show. Given the presence of the new Zelda game at E3, it makes sense that both of them are there!

Rusty Pup, first announced for Wii U and 3DS in 2013, remains in the works. Gory Detail issued a new devlog today which shows quite a bit of footage from the game with commentary straight from the creators.

This is actually our first real look at Rusty Pup in about a year. The first devlog was published at around the same time in 2015.

It’s unclear if Rusty Pup is still targeted for Wii U. Towards the end of the video, we do see a 3DS logo, but nothing for Nintendo’s console.
