Nintendo Minute is back with another episode. In today’s video, Kit and Krysta play a game where they each draw a character and see if the other can guess. Watch the full episode below.

Emily Rogers has posted a brief article regarding the NX’s hardware. You can read it in full here.

Rogers writes that claims of the NX using x86 architecture are false after talking with “seven different people”. Instead, the system is rumored to have “special, custom-made chips and the overall design of the hardware is very modern.” We’ve heard that the NX is using industry leading chips, which is because “they are very modern chips”. But Rogers cautions that “having modern chips doesn’t necessarily mean Nintendo is aiming to create the most powerful hardware on the market.”

NX is supposedly closer to the Xbox One than the PlayStation 4 in terms of pure power. Although comparisons may be difficult given hardware differences, Rogers does not believe that the console “will compete directly with PS4 (Neo) / PS4K in raw power.”

During an event last week, Nintendo NY hosted a media preview for Disney Art Academy. Actor Sabrina Carpenter, who stars in the Disney Channel sitcom Girl Meets World, was present for the festivities. View an official video from Nintendo of the event below.

My Nintendo will soon be updated with a new round of rewards. In a newsletter sent out by Nintendo of Europe, there’s a mention of an additional selection is coming on May 16. We’ll let you know what those are on Monday.

Original (5/7): Minecraft: Wii U Edition launched on the Wii U eShop at the end of last year. However, a physical version is coming soon. Best Buy and GameStop have now opened pre-orders.

Based on GameStop’s listing – as well as one from GameFly – Nintendo will be publishing Minecraft: Wii U Edition at retail. In one way that makes sense, as Sony and Microsoft published the game on their respective platforms. It’ll cost $29.99 – just like the eShop version.

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Imagineer announced today that it will fully absorb Rocket Company on July 1. The Medabots copyright was initially shared between the two sides, but will now be completely held by Imagineer.

The merging decision was made because Imagineer plans to partially reduce its package software business while reconsidering the company’s strategy. They’ve seen growth within the smartphone games market, so they want to make their organization management more efficient and speed up the development of mobile titles.

Of course, Rocket Company published the Medabots games in Japan. We’ll have to see what this means for the series going forward, but hopefully there will still be a presence on Nintendo systems.
