Don’t count on seeing Snake in the new Super Smash Bros. games.
Hideo Kojima briefly touched on the possibility of the character returning for the Wii U and 3DS titles during a live-stream event held earlier today. He essentially shot down the idea, noting that he doesn’t think it’s likely to happen.
Kojima’s comments in full:
I’m not working on that game so I don’t know, but I don’t think that’s likely. I don’t know. Well if Mr. Sakurai is watching this, please use Snake.
FrozenPixel Studio hopes to release its new project “Nucleotide” on Wii U. “We are very interested for releasing Nucleotide on Nintendo Wii U platform,” the studio’s Nenad Markovic told Nintendo Enthusiast. That’s not an official confirmation, but it’s hopefully a sign we’ll be seeing the action-adventure game on the eShop.
Assuming the studio receives approval from Nintendo, OMC Games will be bringing Skullforge: The Hunt to Wii U.
Here’s what we know thus far:
– Action RPG
– Take the role of Desi Cornerstone as she searches for one of the members responsible for her enslavement
– Go on quests, hunt for treasure, participate in multi-layered conversations, battle through a rich world
– Desi is an elven warrior who has suffered at the hands of a brutal cult
– Her quest for revenge leads her to the island of Sorova
– Here, she begins her search for one of the members who escaped from her grasp previously
– What she finds when she arrives is a troubled land in need of a hero
– More information regarding the release date will be released at a later date
– First chapter in the Skullforge story titled Skullforge: The Destined One is out now
– This follows the life of Desi and is a prequel to the events of the game
– 10 chapters in the story
– New chapter each month
– Each chapter will sell for $.99 on all major bookstores including Amazon in all major regions

Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs was announced for 3DS way back in September 2010. Even though there’s been silence from developer Firehazard, it’s still in the works. Saber Rider’s blog is updated every now and then, and there’s even a new video posted today which shows the finalized model for Ramrod.
