Last month, college student Josh Goldberg launched a new project which allowed gamers to play the full Super Mario Bros. game directly in their Internet browsers. “Full Screen Mario” also included randomly generated levels as well as a level editor.

Unfortunately, the website has since been shut down. Nintendo determined the page to be a violation of its IP.

A notice posted on the Full Screen Mario site reads:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds contains a Hero Mode, though you’ll need to complete the story on normal in order to unlock it. Those who eventually take on the harder mode will find that enemies dish out quadruple damage.

We’re also hearing that Zelda: A Link Between Worlds features something extra in addition to Hero Mode. One person playing through the game expects this to take “a while to complete”.

At least in the UK, Call of Duty: Ghosts is off to an absolutely abysmal start on Wii U. The console accounted for less than 1 percent of the game’s total sales. Believe it or not, Ghosts sold more on the PlayStation 4 even though the console itself has yet to launch in the country.

Along with today’s screenshot, Sakurai passed along the following message on Miiverse:

Here are the familiar capsules–these guys deserve a prize for being in every single game. We gave them a cute redesign by shortening their length a bit.

The concept of watching TV isn’t the first thing I’d think of when designing a game. Although, people thought a title that has players taking pictures of Pokemon would be strange – and look how that turned out.

In this Unlikely Review, we take a look at Pokemon Channel and visit a game idea which most fans wouldn’t have originally expected.
