Mario Kart 8 Deluxe unexpectedly received an update a few days ago. After downloading the latest data, players can ride on the Master Cycle Zero using Link from Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

LEGO Harry Potter Collection listed for Switch

LEGO Harry Potter Collection could be bound for Switch. A listing for the package has popped up in the Argos UK Catalog, suggesting a release later this year.
If LEGO Harry Potter Collection is happening on Nintendo’s console, it would be released in November. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and 5-7 would all be bundled together.
We’ll let you know if and when Warner Bros. makes an official announcement regarding LEGO Harry Potter Collection for Switch.
Atlus teases the future of Etrian Odyssey with new video

Etrian Odyssey X is launching in Japan on August 2. As we know, this will be the last entry on 3DS. But the series won’t be stopping anytime soon.
Atlus put out a teaser video during a live stream for Etrian Odyssey X a short while ago, attached below. The developer teases the series’ future, though doesn’t share any details as to what form the franchise will take.

Splatoon 2 is celebrating its first anniversary. As a way of highlighting the occasion, Famitsu published a lengthy developer interview in last week’s issue. The Japanese magazine caught up with producer Hisashi Nogami, director Yusuke Amano, director/art director Seita Inoue, director/lead programmer Shintaro Sato, and sound designer Toru Minegishi.
The team shared some interesting information about the hectic development cycle for Splatoon 2, Rank X, and more. There’s also plenty of Octo Expansion talk, including the difficult and the design for Agent 8.
HORI bringing its Switch d-pad controller west in September with Zelda and Mario designs

This month, HORI launched its new Switch d-pad controller in Japan. We hadn’t heard about a western release – until now. IGN confirms that the controller is coming west in September with Zelda and Mario designs.
The new Joy-Con, which takes the left position, will be sold for $25. That low price point was achieved by omitting a number of features, including Bluetooth, gyrosensor, and SL/SR buttons. But if you enjoy playing games in handheld mode, this might be what you’re looking for.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun is coming to North America and Europe, Bandai Namco has announced. It’ll launch in both regions on November 2.
The rhythm game, which recently debuted in Japan, will allow players to use the Joy-Con as drumsticks. Motion-control play is also included “that uniquely replicates the popular arcade-style experience.”
