Nintendo Switch

Rumors of a new Switch revision escalated again this week. It’s thought that Nintendo may unveil the system before E3, which essentially means that we could be hearing something within the next two weeks. The device is also rumored to launch in September or October.

Vandal, a Spanish website that has apparently been correct regarding other topics, now claims to have a few additional tidbits from an Asian accessories manufacturer. The site shares the following:

More:

Masahiro Sakurai

Earlier this week, some comments made the rounds from Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai’s latest Famitsu column. Some took his words to mean that he could be retiring soon, but that’s not actually the case.

It’s true that retirement is a topic that has at least crossed Sakurai’s mind. That being said, he won’t be leaving game development in the near future.

IGN translated a few of Sakurai’s comments from the column. He started out by reflecting on a recent holiday in Japan – which is his personal first in a decade:

Streets of Rage 4 - Shiva

Streets of Rage 4 has received a new trailer that provides a first look at Shiva, who will be added to the game as part of the Mr. X Nightmare DLC.

The UK My Nintendo Store has a new Mario Golf: Super Rush pre-order bonus up for grabs. By reserving the game, you’ll receive the water bottle pictured above.

Mario Golf: Super Rush launches for Switch on June 25. Pre-orders are open on the store here.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

A sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is apparently in development. That’s according to an official financial document from Digital Bros., the parent company of publisher 505 Games.

The document mentions that a “second version” is in the works. Digital Bros. has used that exact term to refer to other games that have a planned sequel.

Here’s a look at the relevant page:

As part of yesterday’s Sonic Central presentation, SEGA confirmed that the next Sonic game is in the works for Switch. But aside from platforms and a 2022 release window, not much else has been said about the project. We weren’t even provided with an official name as part of the reveal.

However, it’s possible that the upcoming game will be titled “Sonic Rangers”. That news actually comes directly from SEGA itself. In a press release going around, this blurb has been spotted:

Crying Suns

After it was just announced for Switch a couple of weeks ago, the tactical rogue-lite Crying Suns has landed on Switch. Find some footage in the video below.

Crying Suns is out now on the Switch eShop. We’ve got further information and a trailer here.

More than a decade after Sonic Colors first appeared on Wii, the game is seeing new life on Switch as Sonic Colors: Ultimate. GameXplain has now put together a video comparing the two versions.
