Stardew Valley

The major 1.5 update for Stardew Valley draws nearer on Switch. On Twitter, developer ConcernedApe announced that “the update is being submitted to certification today.”

The original plan was to have the update ready on consoles by the end of January or early February. Based on progress, ConcernedApe believes that target is still “likely”.

We’ll let you know when Stardew Valley version 1.5 is officially live on Switch. You can read more about the update here.

Spike Chunsoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World: The Prophecy of the Throne. Get a look at the video below.

Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World: The Prophecy of the Throne is due out for Switch on January 28 in Japan, January 29 in North America, and February 5 in Europe.

Project Warlock

Project Warlock, which first came to Switch as an eShop download, is now getting a physical release. Super Rare Games is partnering with Buckshot Software and Crunching Koalas on the boxed version of the action-packed, old-school first-person shooter.

Project Warlock will have 4,000 physical units produced in total. Each copy includes all the content on its cart, a full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set.

Pre-orders begin on January 28 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Super Rare Games will have reservations here.

Here’s some information about Project Warlock:

The Wanderer: Frankenstein’s Creature, which has thus far been limited to the Switch eShop, is now getting a physical release. Listings from Yodobashi reveal that retail versions will be available, though only in Japan. Cosen is handling distribution.

The Wanderer: Frankenstein’s Creature will come in two forms. Along with a standard release, there are plans for a special edition. The latter version includes a cotton bag, notepad, soundtrack CD, and digital art book as bonuses.

The Wanderer: Frankenstein’s Creature will be offered physically in Japan starting on May 20. We’ll keep you informed about import pre-orders.

Coinciding with next week’s release, Entergram and 07th Expansion have sent out the launch trailer for Umineko When They Cry Blossom: Symphony of Dream and Cat Box, their serial murder fantasy visual novel. We have it below.

Umineko When They Cry Blossom: Symphony of Dream and Cat Box arrives for Switch in Japan on January 28. A western release has not yet been announced.
