Nintendo has come out with a new Zelda: Twilight Princess HD trailer highlighting the game’s story. Check it out below.

During Unite Tokyo, it was announced that Unity would be heading to New 3DS. It’s now been revealed that the engine will be available for use starting today. Just like Wii U, Unity comes free of charge on New 3DS.

Unity has already been working with developers to port some of their games to the New 3DS. You may recall that Wind Up Knight 2 went on sale towards the end of last year in Japan.

Unity actually supports the original 3DS as well, though with a bit of a caveat. It’s possible to “generate ROM images which are compatible with the original 3DS, and there are certainly some types of game which will run perfectly well on it, but for the majority of games we strongly recommend targeting the New Nintendo 3DS for maximum gorgeousness.”

Update: In an article this week, Polygon also claims to have received confirmation about the petting removal from Nintendo (thanks for the tip, Jake).

A few days ago, news surfaced about Nintendo removing the petting mini-game from Fire Emblem Fates in the west. That information came from Kotaku, who received the information from the company. Since other well-known outlets were only citing Kotaku as their source, some wondered if the site had been misinformed or shared misinformation. As it turns out, what we heard originally is absolutely true.

A comment is making the rounds from Rich George, a director of Golin for Nintendo. For those that are unaware, Golin handles all PR for the Big N in the United States. George was able to reconfirm that Fire Emblem Fates’ petting mini-game has indeed been removed in the west.

Arc System Works published the first trailer for River City Ransom SP today. Give it a watch below.

By the way, River City Ransom SP’s website is now live as well. Access it here.

The official website for Great Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo has updated with details on the world and gameplay, as well as a host of new screenshots. The details have been translated by Serebii.

Gameplay revolves around exploring Rhyme City as protagonist Tim Goodman and his partner, Pikachu. Tim is able to interview humans to solve mysteries, while Pikachu interviews Pokémon. The player can also look around specific spots for evidence. Pikachu will sometimes notice details and offer hints or advice. The game also features quick-time events, although these do not seem to affect player progress.

The website has also given numerous details on the characters and world. Pikachu, for example, is able to talk but, because of this, cannot use normal Pokémon moves. Other new characters are also introduced. Mike Baker is the head of the detective agency. Amanda Blackstone is his assistant. Amelia Kristi is a new Assistant Director at a TV Station, and Meiko Okamoto is a TV Director. Pablo Milan is the owner of the High Hat Cafe.

Below are all the new screenshots that were added.

More:

After several pieces of concept art shared throughout the week, the latest Zelda: Twilight Princess HD message added to the series’ Twitter account is a bit random. But hey, it does come with a neat GIF!

Here’s the full translation:

“…It’s Malo. Today a so-called designer comes to the village to hold a special lecture… I see, he’s a dextrous guy… If I feel like it, I’ll ask him to renew the signboard for my shop.”

For those that are confused, this seems to be more like a demonstration as to how the designer drew the illustration, as shown in the tweet’s GIF.
