Today, The Pokemon Company properly unveiled Hoopa Unbound, a new form of the Mythical Pokemon Hoopa.

Here’s what you should know about the creature:

Hoopa Unbound is the new and truest form of Hoopa, which until now has had its power sealed away. The rings Hoopa Unbound carries have the power to bend dimensions and are said to allow it to seize anything in the world. After its transformation, Hoopa Unbound is far larger than it was in its previous form, with six huge arms and a greater number of its signature dimension-bending rings.

We also know that Hoopa Unbound has the following stats:

Category: Djinn Pokémon
Type: Psychic/Dark
Height: 21’04” [6.5 m]
Weight: 1,080.3 lbs. [490.0 kg]
Ability: Magician

Hoopa, the 720th Pokemon in the Pokedex, can’t be met under normal circumstances in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. However, information about how to meet Hoopa will be shared in the future.

Choice Provisions already has plans to bring the Dragon Fantasy games and Shutshimi to Wii U. The company’s support may not be stopping there, however.

In an interview with Nintendo Life, associate producer Dant Rambo mentioned that Choice Provisions has interest in releasing the PC strategy game Tharsis on the eShop.

Rambo said:

We’re currently hard at work on games called Tharsis and Laserlife. The former is a perma-death, turn-based strategy game about the first manned mission to Mars; the latter is a music game where players are tasked with restoring the memories of a dead astronaut. Both are significant departures from our previous work and we’re really excited about them!

In fact, we’ve been talking a lot about bringing Tharsis to the Wii U! Stay tuned for more info about that.

As you know, those who have registered both the 3DS and Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. are eligible for free Mewtwo DLC coming out on April 15th. Codes are now being distributed through e-mail from Club Nintendo in Japan, with Europe and North America to follow within the next 24 hours.

To redeem Mewtwo on your Nintendo 3DS, head over to the in-game shop. On Wii U, the code can be redeemed through the Nintendo eShop. Do note that the code will only work after the new patch has been applied to the game. Once that’s done, you can download Mewtwo and start playing right away.

For those of you that haven’t registered both versions of the game with Club Nintendo, Mewtwo will be available for both 3DS and Wii U on April 28th – $3.99 for either the Wii U or 3DS, or $4.99 for both games.

Capcom’s evergrowing Monster Hunter series has reached the one million units shipped milestone with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, making it the first title in the series to do so for both Europe and North America.

Capcom released a lengthy statement regarding the achievement:

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that overseas shipments of “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” for the Nintendo 3DS™ (“Monster Hunter 4G” in Japan) have surpassed one million units shipped in Europe and North America. These shipments include both retail and Nintendo eShop download sales.

The “Monster Hunter” series is an action RPG game that pits players against giant monsters in a beautiful natural environment. The series has sparked a social craze known as the “Monster Hunter Craze” by introducing a new kind of communication style for players through cooperative play focused on hunting monsters with their friends. The number of fans has increased steadily since the first “Monster Hunter” title made its debut in 2004. The series has grown into a mega-hit with cumulative sales of more than 32 million units around the world as of February 16, 2015.

In terms of the series, “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” follows the March 2013 launch of “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” in Europe and North America. The latest title is the biggest and most accessible yet, adding new monsters and weapons as well as dynamic three-dimensional action with even more vertical movements. Another feature is online play with others via broadband Internet, a feature that is in strong demand in Europe and North America.

Since the launch of the previous “Monster Hunter” title in Europe and North America, Capcom has used many activities to retain the many enthusiastic fans and attract many new users. For example, there are special events and a robust online community for game players. Downloads of trial games for first-time users and the continuous provision of free downloadable content have also helped extend the strong sales of “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate”. In Europe and North America, the successful launch of this new title coincided with the introduction of the New Nintendo 3DS™, which resulted in “Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate” becoming the first title in the series to reach shipments of one million units in Europe and North America.

Capcom remains firmly committed to satisfying the expectations of all users by making the most of its industry-leading game development capabilities in order to create high quality gameplay experiences.

Hitting the one million mark – whether it be in shipments, sales or both – is always an achievement, and we congratulate Capcom for hitting this milestone with such a fantastic series that keeps getting better with each new entry.

More:

LEGO Dimensions players will be able to transport special figures into the game when it launches later this year. Thanks to a blurry box image, we know of a few characters that will be sold once LEGO Dimensions hits store shelves.

The image seems to show minifigures like Krusty, Superman, and Bart. It’s also thought that Chell from Portal will be featured. The extreme blurriness of the picture makes it difficult to make out some characters, but we should be seeing announcements from Warner Bros. at some point in the future.
