GameStop’s internal system adds 21 untitled Switch SKUs

With E3 just over a week away, retailers are almost certainly getting their systems prepped for upcoming announcements. Usually once a conference ends and official reveals are made, stores take pre-orders not too long after.
With that in mind, GameStop seems to have given us a (very) rough idea regarding the number of announcements Switch will be seeing within the next few days – from Nintendo and third-parties. 21 SKUs have been added to the retailer’s internal system without names, meaning they will likely be filled in properly around E3. Most are $60, but there are a few oddities like a mystery $200 listing.

Bandai Namco has started bringing over more of its games to Switch, but one Code Vein is one title that’s missing. The post-apocalyptic action-RPG hasn’t been announced for Nintendo’s console as of yet. That doesn’t mean it’s entirely out of the question, however.
In an interview with GameSpot, Code Vein producer Keita Iizuka mentioned that “there might be a possibility down the line” of a Switch port. He told the site:

Minecraft: Story Mode won’t be supported after June 25, players have until then to download the episodes

Since Telltale Games is no more, that puts Minecraft: Story Mode in an unfortunate position. It’s been announced that support for the game is ending after June 25. Moreover, players are advised to download all episodes by that date. Both Switch and Wii U will be impacted.
The messaging is slightly unclear, but it potentially sounds like even if you purchased either season of Minecraft: Story Mode previously, you may be unable to access episodes once the deadline passes. That means the episodes could be permanently removed for everyone later this month.

NBA 2K20 looking like a lock for Switch
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Much like with EA and FIFA, 2K Sports has been putting the NBA 2K series on Switch since 2017. The tradition appears to be continuing with this year’s release.
Though it has yet to be announced officially, we obviously know that NBA 2K20 will be happening later in the year. Some promotional material has surfaced online for a Legend Edition, which features now-retired NBA star Dwyane Wade. You’ll also notice that towards the bottom, a Switch logo is included.
2K will likely be revealing NBA 2K20 within the next few days. Based on what’s leaked, the game should be launching in early September.

Celeste Chapter 9 DLC to include over 100 levels

Celeste players will have plenty to look forward to when the game’s free DLC launches. According to director Matt Thorson, over 100 levels will be included.
Thorson added that the team won’t mention anything regarding a release date “until we’re 100% sure, because as always we have missed every internal target we set for ourselves as the Chapter grew in scope.”
We do know that Chapter 9 will have no B-Side as it’s all a single continuous chapter. While there won’t be any strawberries to collect, there will be new items and mechanics.
