In terms of popularity, Pokemon couldn’t be in a better place than it is right now. Pokemon GO created another surge for the franchise a few years ago while games on consoles continue to sell and the IP itself is known around the world.

Speaking with The Verge, Pokemon developer Junichi Masuda touched on the huge success of Pokemon GO, stating:

My Nintendo has updated with a new selection of discounts for European members. Zelda: Majora’s Mask on Wii U, HarmoKnight, and Persona Q are among what’s available.

Following yesterday’s update, new Pokemon are now live in Pokemon GO. The mobile game has added creatures originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, includong Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.

Niantic says that new Pokemon will be rolled out in waves. These monsters will show up “over the next few weeks appearing in the wild, hatching from Eggs, and battling in raids.”

11 bit studios has finally nailed down a specific date for the Switch version of Moonlighter. It’ll be released on November 5, the developer announced today.

Moonlighter is “an action RPG with rogue-lite elements that shines a light on the daily adventures of Will, an devoted shopkeeper who secretly dreams of becoming a hero.” View a new trailer for the game below.

Moonlighter will be sold both physically and digitally on Switch.
