Pokken Tournament DX

Splatoon 2 and ARMS won’t be Nintendo’s only tournaments at E3 2017. Joining them is Pokken Tournament DX, which was just announced for Switch.

We’ve included today’s full announcement about Pokken Tournament DX at E3 below.

Pokkén Tournament DX joins the ARMS and Splatoon 2 games with its own invitational tournament at E3 2017. This third Nintendo Switch game will complete the triad of social, competitive games in action at Nintendo’s booth next week at the E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles. Fans around the world can watch all the tournament action, as well as Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3, by visiting http://e3.nintendo.com, or by watching on Nintendo’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

Pokken Tournament DX wasn’t today’s only new Pokemon announcement. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon are coming to 3DS.

Pokken Tournament DX is coming to Switch, it’s been announced. The news was just shared during today’s Pokemon Direct.

A debut trailer for the game showcased using split Joy-Con for local multiplayer. New characters will be included, such as Decidueye.

Pokken Tournament DX launches on September 22.

E3 2017 is only a week away, but it already feels like the festivities have started. Today’s Pokemon Direct can be partially attributed to that since we should be getting some big news about the franchise very soon.

No live blog for this one due to how short it is, but you can watch the Pokemon Direct as it happens below in an hour from now (7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe). Although it’ll only be eight minutes long, similar presentations focusing on the series have been equally short. We’ll put up any breaking news on the site right as it happens.

Nintendo released a new video today showcasing a few European digital game highlights from May 2017. You can watch it below.

Warner Bros. will be streaming live from E3 2017 for the first time this year. The publisher’s new show, known as “WB Games Live!”, will be featuring LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, LEGO Worlds, and LEGO Dimensions.

WB Games Live! will feature live gameplay demos, discussions with developers and surprise guests, and cosplay contests. Those who are watching online can enter for online giveaways and prizes.

WB Games Live! will be hosted between June 13 and June 15. You can watch it all here.

Pokemon GO will be undergoing maintenance tomorrow. After it’s complete, yet another balance patch will be issued.

Just like the poison mist yesterday, the Splatoon Twitter account has introduced another new sub weapon in Splatoon 2 today. The “robot bomb” is a sort of walking homing missile. You throw it, and once it lands, it’ll detect the nearest enemy in a certain radius and starts walking towards them until it explodes.

One of the weapon kits that’ll have the robot bomb sub is the “Foxy”, a roller-type weapon that seems to be quite similar in appearance to the Octobrush from the first game. It will also have the Inkjet special.
