    More:

Swap Fire, a Wii U eShop title that debuted late last year, is getting an update. Midnight Status has shared some information about what to expect from version 1.1

First, players will have easier staged access to Exhibition Mode. The developer is also implementing audio cues in multiplayer to compliment opening animations. You can count on the normal bug fixes as well along with more precise dual analogue controls.

There’s no date just yet for the patch. Swap Fire is also heading to Europe, but no word yet on when it’ll be launching.

    Fire Emblem Heroes

The results are in for the Fire Emblem Heroes “Choose Your Legends” vote. Ike and Lyn came out on top with 33,871 votes and 49,917 votes on the heroes and heroines charts respectively.

Those two characters won the poll, but Nintendo is showing its thanks in another way. Roy and Lucina, who were next in line for the male and female sides, will also be getting their own “Choose Your Legends” versions.

The full voting rankings can be found below.

With LEGO Dimensions’ Excalibur Batman Fun Pack dropping on Friday, Warner Bros. put out a trailer for the new content. We have it below.

Pokken Tournament was one of several titles nominated for the final spot at Evo 2017. Had it won, it would have been featured alongside the likes of Smash Bros. Melee and Smash Bros. for Wii U at the tournament. Unfortunately, Pokken Tournament just missed out to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in the end.

It’s definitely not all bad though. With the vote tying into charities, Pokken Tournament raised nearly $67,000 (Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 generated the most with over $71,000). Evo is also pledging $10,000 to support Pokken Tournament with individual tournaments throughout the year.

    Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Famitsu once again has quite a bit of Switch coverage in this week’s issue. Among the games covered is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, including an interview with producer Kosuke Yabuki (director on the original, also the producer of Arms by the way).

First, Yakubi commented on why Mario Kart 8 is being brought to Switch. He explains that the system can be played as a console, on the go, by sharing controllers, and can be experienced online. As a developer, Yabuki thought it would fit well with Mario Kart, and wanted to offer a Mario Kart to fans as soon as possible. So therefore they started developing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe using Mario Kart 8 as basis.

Later this month, RCMADIAX will be publishing yet another game on the Wii U eShop. Wall Ball is scheduled to come out in Europe on February 23 for €1.49.

Here’s a look at the eShop listing:
