Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nintendo has shared the official patch notes for Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 1.2.0, which was issued earlier tonight.

Unsurprisingly, the update covers much of what we’ve heard of previously. That means a couple of merchants will now appear, and seasonal events have been added.

The official patch notes are as follows:

If you’ve downloaded the latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons update, you may have come across a message straight from Bank of Nook. Interestingly, the interest rate for all savings accounts have been lowered in the game. That means you won’t earn as many Bells in your account going forward.

You’ll at least receive a couple of items for your troubles. Players are being given a free rug and world map.

Obviously this change comes a little bit out of left field. It’s unclear why Nintendo decided to implement the change.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons latest update, which was announced earlier this week, is now live. Nintendo has started distribution of version 1.2.0 for all users.

Patch notes have not yet been published. However, we do know about the major points of the update. Some content will become accessible starting April 23, including Leif’s Garden Shop, Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler, and Nature Day. Other events will be rolled out in the weeks and months ahead.

Read about the update in-depth here. We’ll share the official patch notes as soon as we have them.
