Thousand Games has announced that a prototype of the new game Synaptic Drive will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show next week. It’s being directed by Kouji Kenjo, who was a producer on Custom Robo.

Synaptic Drive is a competitive, strategic 3D shooter. Players are able to choose from a variety of characters, weapons, and settings. Thousand Games hopes to make “a game of a high enough quality to be chosen for eSports competitions” and is “currently looking for publishers and business partners”.

5pb. will be bringing Occultic;Nine to Switch, according to the latest issue of Famitsu. The magazine does not specify a release window.

Occultic;Nine is a visual novel that previously released on other platforms. The port will feature additions such as the partial recovery of uncollected hints and mysteries, a “True End Scenario” that depicts the essential “afterstory,” and more.

Nintendo has put out the latest piece of music for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time around, the Pikmin Main Theme has been shared.

Hideki Sakamoto is behind the arrangement. Sakamoto is also responsible for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Main Theme that debuted at E3 2018.

As part of the latest issue of Famitsu, SEGA has released a fresh batch of screenshots from Team Sonic Racing. Included in this stack are the first glimpses provided of the kart racing title’s overworld map and in-game “cutscenes”. Check them out in the gallery below.

Party Arcade

Planet Entertainment has announced that the FarSight Studios-developed Party Arcade is making its way to Switch next month. The package features popular party games and acts as a sequel to the Game Party franchise that originally appeared on Wii.

Last Wednesday, a Nintendo Direct was announced that would be airing the following day. However, due to an earthquake in Japan, the presentation was pushed back to an unspecified date.

We’ve been waiting on a new date for that presentation since then. There’s been some chatter about the Nintendo Direct airing this Thursday instead, in large part because of some information datamined from Splatoon 2. This is now being backed up by a report that Nintendo Life who has heard similarly from “trusted sources”.

Moonlighter is one step closer to launching on Switch, as 11 bit studios announced a release month today. We can expect to see the action RPG with roguelike elements in November.

Moonlighter will be hitting Switch both physically and digitally. Look for both versions to arrive at the same time.
