Nintendo has updated its Japanese website with a brief notice regarding the status of Wii U. Text on the console’s page simply states: “Production is scheduled to end soon.” This applies to both models of Wii U currently available in Japan.

It’s been rumored that Nintendo would be moving on from Wii U production, though the company recently denied such speculation. Today’s news would indicate that the big N will be moving on from its current console sooner rather than later.

Famitsu published a special issue today in celebration of the Nintendo Classic Mini: Famicom. On the back, an ad for Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be found. We don’t usually make mention of print ads, but we’re making one exception here.

The ad continues to show how Nintendo is promoting Breath of the Wild’s ties to the original Zelda. The text states, “Once more to Hyrule”. This also appears to be the first time that the Switch logo is included in an ad.

The adapter doesn’t seem to have an exact release date yet. We do know though that it will be priced at $10.
