Update (7/19): Down to $117 now. If you already pre-ordered, you should automatically receive the lower price.
The Legend of Zelda Box Set: Prima Official Game Guide will be releasing in November, according to a listing on Amazon.com.
This will be an extremely limited release – it will only be printed once, and will then be gone forever.
Now, let’s go over what the package contains: six hardcover collector’s editions for Ocarina of Time 3D (in hard cover and exclusive to the box set), Spirit Tracks, Phantom Hourglass, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword (revised and expanded by over 100 pages). All guides will feature gilded edges, and will come in a unique Zelda-themed box held together by an embedded magnetic clasp.
The last two items could be the most interesting for fans: a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Eiji Aonuma and a 2-sided laser etched metallic bookmark.
You can order pre-order The Legend of Zelda Box Set: Prima Official Game Guide here. Amazon has it for $153, which is $27 less than the retail price. It officially launches on November 26.
All of Nintendo’s online services are experiencing technical difficulties at the moment.
A notice posted on the company’s network status page indicates that the Wii U, 3DS, Wii, and DS are affected. It states, “Due to technical difficulties, some online service features may be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Nintendo began encountering issues at 8:20 AM PT / 11:20 AM ET. It is not yet clear what caused the downtime and when all services will be restored.
The Guardian conducted an interview with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata during E3 2013, and has just now published the full talk. Iwata commented on Wii U’s lack of strong titles, third-party support, Zelda Wii U, the 3DS’ success, and more.
