This year’s Gamescom is over, and while it’s a year away, we already have a date for Gamescom 2022. Show organizers announced today that next year’s event will be held between August 24 and August 28.
The hope is that Gamescom 2022 will take place both in Cologne, Germany and online. However, the state of the world will ultimately affect the situation. There were originally plans for an in-person portion of Gamescom this year, but that didn’t end up happening.

It’s been announced that following its debut on PC, No Longer Home is making the jump to Switch. The semi-auto-biographical point-and-click game will appear on the system on October 7.

Galaxy of Pen & Paper +1 Edition, a turn-based RPG that was previously made available on the Switch eShop, is now getting the physical treatment. Red Art Games will be making the boxed edition in partnership with Plug In Digital.

Mattel and Milestone today unveiled its DLC plans for the racer Hot Wheels Unleashed. Three Hot Wheels Passes will unlock a set of special content from Hot Wheels originals as well as from Barbie, DC, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and OEMs like Aston Martin, BMW and McLaren and many others.
According to Milestone, players can look forward to free and premium DLC periodically. Upcoming content may include vehicles, track builder modules, customization items, and exclusive themed expansion sets introducing new environments. Also, by joining Racing Seasons, players can participate in limited-time challenges with new vehicles and special rewards.
Aztech Forgotten Gods, the Latinx-Futurism cyberstone colossus fighter from Mulaka developer Lienzo, is experiencing a delay. It’s now on track for Q1 2022.
Aztech Forgotten Gods was announced for Switch earlier this year. Originally, it was planned for Fall 2021.
