Japan wasn’t the only region that had a new Splatfest in Splatoon 2 this weekend. Over in Europe, a separate event was held with its own topic.

Nintendo asked players how they prefer to spend their holidays. You could choose either Team Adventure or Team Relax.

Nefarious

A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Nefarious would be coming to Switch. The news was revealed through an official news channel on the system, though at the time, no official announcement hadn’t been made.

Now thanks to Nintendo’s website, we have an official release date. Nefarious will launch via the eShop on September 13.

As we’ve previously mentioned, new Spy Gear for Splatoon 2 is being offered through the Japanese magazine CoroCoro with a download code. We now have some footage in the video below.

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has updated its maintenance schedule with several different sessions. Switch will be impacted in the near term – starting today – though maintenance has been lined up all the way into September already.

The current schedule is as follows:

GameStop has revealed an exclusive pre-order bonus for Valkyria Chronicles 4. If you rserve the game, you’ll receive the Ragnarok hat pictured above. Pre-orders can be placed here.

All retailers, including GameStop, will also be offering a launch edition for Valkyria Chronicles 4. This comes with a free Ragnarok controller skin.

Another Splatfest for Splatoon 2 is in the books. The latest event was held in Japan this past weekend, pitting Team Kinoko no yama and Team Takenoko no sato up against each other. This was indeed a Meiji-sponsored food Splatfest.

Following a day of battles, Nintendo has posted the results. Here’s a look at how things turned out:

Space Ribbon

When Valkyria Chronicles 4 launches for Switch in Japan, it’ll be accompanied by the original Valkyria Chronicles. We now have a proper look at how the game is looking on the system thanks to an eShop listing. View a handful of screenshots below.

Valkyria Chronicles 1 will be sold for just 500 yen for those who purchase Valkyria Chronicles 4. A release in other regions has yet to be announced.

One of the more surprising Switch announcements this year was Ark: Survival Evolved. There weren’t too many who expected the game to come to Nintendo’s console, especially with solid performance. But thanks to the porting work from Abstraction Games, Ark: Survival Evolved is indeed happening, and based on the little footage we’ve seen, it looks pretty good.
