Mario Tennis Aces

Two Switch games debuted at retail in Japan during the week of June 18. One of these was Mario Tennis Aces, which sold over 120,000 copies in its first week.

Dengeki provides further insight into the game’s performance. It managed to sell through quite a bit of its first shipment, coming in at 75%.

Yesterday, Splatoon 2 received a bunch of new content with the New Albacore Hotel stage and weapons. Have a look at some footage of the latest additions below.

FuRyu is known in the Nintendo scene for its RPGs The Legend of Legacy and The Alliance Alive. The studio is also publishing Work x Work and Beyblade Burst: Battle Zero on Switch in Japan later this year.

In its latest shareholder report, FuRyu stated that it will “temporarily suspend” its games business, though current titles in production will not be affected. President and CEO Takashi Mishima explained that the company was “struggling to recover our heavily invested games business, and growth in the main business was also sluggish, which led to a major disparity from the overall initial plan.”

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition

I originally reviewed Hyrule Warriors on Wii U as well as the 3DS version on Nintendo Everything previously, so you can deduce that yes, I did dip into both previous versions of this game already. Except I didn’t stop there. I didn’t just put in a good 10-15 hours, as embarrassing as it is to admit – that’s not even close.
