YouTube user crashandcortex has managed to find an unused item in Smash Bros. Melee, which seems to be the timed mines from GoldenEye 007.
Even though Melee has been around for 16 years, a new graphic file was unearthed from the game’s files yesterday. It does give off the impression of being the Motion Sensor Bomb, but it’s actually a completely different item.
crashandcortex has come to the conclusion that its appearance is almost identical to GoldenEye 007’s timed mines. An accompanying sound effect further supports this.
crashandcortex’s video is below. He compares the timed mines and Motion Sensor Bomb, and also plays the related sound effect.
Ore Creative is showing interest in bringing Ira to Switch. The indie developer shared its enthusiasm for the system on Twitter, and actually mentioned checking up on the developer portal daily.

Ira is a point-and-click adventure game. Players will “explore alien landscapes, relive past events, and watch as the nature of reality becomes porous and untrustworthy.”
Thanks to ShardShinjuku for the tip.
Earlier today, the Game Creators Conference was held in Japan. At the event, Nintendo’s Masaru Mitsuyoshi held a joint session with Capcom’s Masaru Ijuin about Switch.
One big thing to get out of the way: Switch development kits. These are planned for a cost of roughly 50,000 yen. If you’re doing a direct conversion, that’d be about $450 / $500.
Originally, the Joy-Con controllers were still in the research phase and weren’t included in the explanation document. Ijuin from Capcom said that there was only a touch panel form factor and nothing like the Joy-Con. Because of that, he wasn’t sure in what way the device would be portable. Then after the Joy-Con appeared, he thought “I got it!”.
Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has appeared in a new Nintendo video to announce a Dutch version of Breath of the Wild. All text will be localized, but the voice acting will remain in English.
This marks the first time ever that a Zelda game has been localized into Dutch. Normally these players only have access to the games in English.
Thanks to DRPS for the tip.

In its first week, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional sold around 125,000 copies in Japan. Dengeki now provides us with additional details about the game’s performance.
Joker 3 Professional sold less than DS’ Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional, which achieved first week sales of 164,000 copies and 638,000 units lifetime. However, it did manage to sell through 90 percent of its initial shipment.
The sales ratio between Joker 2 Professional and original Joker 2 (lifetime sales of 1.32 million) was 48.3 percent. Considering how the original Joker 3’s lifetime sales were 660,000, total sales for the new Professional version would be expected at 318,000 copies. The important point will be whether Square Enix can attract new users in addition to the existing players.
