This week’s issue of Jump has yet another update on Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3.
In the magazine, we’re shown an important and mysterious girl, who was designed by Akira Toriyama. She has a similar appearance as the protagonist, and also wears a Reactor device on her ear. Her description is as follows: “This girl knows everything about Break World!?” She even appears to know about the protagonist.”
Also shown in Jump are “Break Monsters”. These are ominous monsters seemingly eroded by something that should be considered a considerably formidable threat to the player.
A pair of Wii U titles have been nominated for the BAFTA Game Awards. Splatoon has been nominated for “Game Innovation”, “Multiplayer”, and “Original Property” while Super Mario Maker is up for “Family” alongside Disney Infinity 3.0 and Guitar Hero Live.
All of the nominees for the BAFTA Game Awards are located here.
EnjoyUp’s Grumpy Reaper came to the European Wii U eShop last week, and is due out in North America later today. A few minutes of footage can be found below.
Continuing its series of “Countdown Clash” videos leading up to the launch of Pokken Tournament this week, Nintendo UK published the results video for battles 3 and 4. Check it out below:
Update: Added boxarts.

Head past the break for today’s full announcement.
As part of last week’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that the 3DS Virtual Console is now seeing the addition of SNES games. However, only those with a New 3DS can partake in the fun. Downloading SNES titles on older models of the system simply isn’t possible.
A Nintendo representative told Game Informer the following about having SNES games only on New 3DS:
“As previously announced, New Nintendo 3DS has an improved CPU, which enables Super NES games to run on the system with quality results. The Super NES games also include Perfect-Pixel mode, which allows players to see their games in their original TV resolution and aspect resolution.”
Nintendo’s statement indicates that the CPU behind the New 3DS is what allows for SNES Virtual Console games to be possible.
It seems another Pokémon game will be hitting smartphones. The Pokémon Company just posted a trailer for a new game, currently translated as Pokémon CoMaster.
