Thanks to Amazon, we now have the Japanese Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice boxart. See the image attached above.
We’ve yet to see Link’s classic green tunic in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Is it in the game, or will it be absent this time around? Shigeru Miyamoto won’t say.
GameRant approached Miyamoto at E3 last week about the tunic. He said:
“I don’t know, but there are just a lot of clothes in this game. So maybe if we had green clothes people would want to wear it all the time. And yeah, with the variety of clothes you get, that this game offers, you can really customize your character. And I can’t really divulge too much more than this.”
Zelda producer Aonuma was similarly quiet when asked about the tunic as well.
Capcom isn’t slowing down with the collaborations in Monster Hunter Generations. Today, the publisher announced that Strider is coming to the game. Players will be able to equip Strider Hiryu’s Cypher sword and armor.
Find a new trailer showing the collaboration below. Look for Monster Hunter Generations on July 15.
Following today’s news for Japan, we now have confirmation that Hyrule Warriors Legends (and Hyrule Warriors) will be adding the Link’s Awakening Pack on June 30. It’s almost certain that North America will have it on the same day as well.
Nintendo has also shared a new trailer, posted below:
The Link’s Awakening Pack arrives in #HyruleWarriors: Legends on 30/06!

Thanks to Brian for the tip.
Nintendo has updated the European Fire Emblem Fates website with a scheduled for the next wave of DLC. It all begins on July 21, with four pieces of content planned. Another three pieces will be made available one week later.
Here’s the full schedule:
Xbox boss Phil Spencer was asked by one fan on Twitter for his thoughts on NX. He only had good things to say, and also managed to give Zelda: Breath of the Wild in the process.
Spencer’s tweet is as follows:
@Commander_Keel When @Nintendo launches a new console it's an exciting time for the industry. And Zelda looked good at E3.

Spencer has always been pretty positive when it comes to Nintendo, so it’s nice to see that continue! You may recall that he praised the big N a couple of years ago for its developers and franchises.
Bandai Namco has shown the boxart for Super Battle for Money: The Ultimate Ninja and Battle Player’s Top Decisive Battle!, pictured above. We also have some screenshots below.
This week’s issue of Jump provides another update on Dragon Ball: Fusions. We have news about another character, StreetPass support, and more.
First, Arale from Dr. Slump (manga from creator Akira Toriyama) makes an appearance in this game. As an example of her EX Fusion, she can fuse with Towa to become Towale.
Dragon Ball: Fusions seems to have a StreetPass function. If you obtain data from other players, it will automatically make fusions if the characters set have good compatibility.
There’s also some information about the battle system, though it’s still very bare-bones. Details include:
– There’s a triangle of type effectiveness
– Energy bullets have different types (perhaps pertaining to the above point)
– If you attack with an effective type, you can deal 1.5% more damage
– There is a Full-Throttle Attack where the combo is different (from normal attack)
Nintendo’s previously-announced 76th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will be happening on June 29. Aside from that, the company has now determined that its FY 2016 First Quarter Earnings Release is scheduled for July 27. Note that a results briefing is not scheduled, which makes sense given next week’s meeting – it’d be redundant to hold a briefing next month as well.
