Update: Bumped to the top. Back of the cereal box has been added below.

Original: If you needed further confirmation that the new Super Mario Cereal is happening, Kellogg’s has you covered. The company’s UK Twitter account told one consumer that the serial is in fact real. However, based on the wording, it sounds like it may only be sold in the US.

The official tweet is as follows:

It may have initially seemed too crazy to be real, but based on this tweet and the fact that it has started to show up in Target’s inventory system, we should be seeing the Super Mario Cereal soon. Unfortunately, folks outside of the US may have trouble getting their hands on the cereal.

Thanks to Ninwed for the tip.

The update will have the typical balance adjustments and other small changes. However, Nintendo is also teasing something new. What is it, you ask? Well, we’ll find out tomorrow.

ARMS just received its major 4.1 update earlier in the month. It added Misango as a new fighter, a new stage, Party Crash, and more.

Some rather interesting news surfaced last night about new Super Mario Cereal. It’s rumored that Nintendo and Kellog’s have teamed up to offer the product on store shelves – at least in the US. While some have doubted the validity of the original speculation, new evidence points to the original rumor being real.

Some of you may be aware of BrickSeek, a site that keeps track of inventory of a few different retailers. One of these stores is Target. As it turns out, the Super Mario Cereal already seems to be appearing in Target’s system.

Yooka-Laylee is launching for Switch on December 14, Playtonic has announced. Pre-orders will start on the eShop beginning December 7.

Playtonic says that Yooka-Laylee “features a shed-load of polish and updates” on Switch. These include single Joy-Con play in all eight multiplayer games and a custom achievement system. Improvements that have been made to Yooka-Laylee over time will also be in the Switch version, including a new camera mode, control improvements, menu options, music, and more.

The new update for Fire Emblem Heroes went live earlier today. It encompasses a whole bunch of content and features such as Book II, the Weapon Refinery, Legendary Hero abilities, expanded Barracks, and much more. That’s on top of other changes, improvements, and adjustments.

Update: Reader mariobitsize passed along messages received from Kellog’s earlier today, which we’ve added in below. Apparently this cereal “is hitting store shelves now” and “a limited number” will have the amiibo sticker. Either this is an elaborate fake, or it’s indeed happening. We’ll keep an eye on the situation.

Original: New Super Mario Cereal could be coming up in the future from Kellogg’s. Cerealously claims to have obtained a box image of the product. The cereal itself will apparently feature oat pieces with colored marshmallow shapes, including Super Mushrooms, 1-Up Mushrooms, and ? Boxes.

What might be even more noteworthy here is that the cereal itself can apparently be used as an amiibo. The box teases functionality with Super Mario Odyssey.

Cerealously does believe that the cereal is legitimate, but there’s also the possibility that it could be just a prototype. If it is the real deal, this would definitely be interesting.

Kellogg’s message

We cerealously appreciate your continued interest in seeing a Nintendo cereal, Chris! We hope you’ll keep an eye out for the new Super Mario Cereal that is hitting store shelves now. This star-shaped cereal features Super Mario-inspired marshmallows, and a limited number of packages will have an amiibo powerup sticker that can be used on the Super Mario Odyssey game with the Nintendo Switch gaming console.

… The product’s name is simply “Super Mario Cereal,” and as it’s just coming to stores now, it may take some time to arrive in your area. It can be helpful to check in with managers at your local stores for availability information – or to see if they can order it in for you…
