Nintendo’s financial results briefing for the third quarter of the current fiscal year took place last week. As always, there was a Q&A session with investors at the end of the meeting. Nintendo’s official English translation of the transcript of that Q&A is now available here

From Nintendo’s board of directors, Shuntaro Furukawa (President and Representative Director), Shinya Takahashi (Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer), Shigeru Miyamoto (Representative Director, Fellow), Ko Shiota (Director, Senior Executive Officer) and Satoru Shibata (Director, Senior Executive Officer) were present. Naturally, most of the questions and answers center around sales and business strategies, but they also touch upon Nintendo’s collaboration with LINE for Dr. Mario World, video game addiction, the number of female employees Nintendo has and more. There aren’t any groundbreaking new announcements, but it’s an interesting read nonetheless.

The first paid piece of DLC for Dragon Quest Builders 2, the “Japanese-Style Pack”, will be available in late February in Japan. This DLC pack was initially scheduled to launch in April, but Square Enix seemingly moved the launch forward a bit. It’ll cost 700 Yen and feature various classic Japanese-inspired items and materials such as lanterns, wall scrolls, futons and more. Square Enix will show off the DLC in more detail in a live stream which will take on February 13 at 9PM JST on their Youtube channel.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 has been out since December 20 last year in Japan. It’ll launch sometime this year in the West. It’s not clear yet how Square Enix will handle DLC packs such as this one for the Western release.

The Special Heroes: Greil’s Devoted Summoning Focus is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes. Until March 3rd, you have the chance to get Ike, Mist, Soren and Greil in their special Day of Devotion outfits. As always, since these are considered Special Heroes, they won’t be added to the regular summoning pool once this Summoning Focus ends. There’s also a new Paralogue story featuring these Heroes, as well as some time-limited quests.

As part of the game’s second anniversary celebration, another Summoning Focus is available only today – Ephraim & Myrrh’s Bound Hero Battle. The 5-star focus units are Myrrh: Great Dragon, Ephraim: Restoration Lord and Eirika: Anamnesis Lady.

Finally, the Special Orb Promo for February is now available. You can purchase 21 orbs and get 60 Sacred Coins as an additional gift.

The much-anticipated Dragon Marked for Death from Inti Creates recently released on Nintendo Switch, and one aspect the game was particularly praised for was its soundtrack. It maybe doesn’t come as much of a surprise then that the Dragon Marked for Death soundtrack is getting a physical release in Japan. The soundtrack album will contain 77 tracks; it also comes with a 16-page booklet which includes a special cover drawn by character designer Toru Nakayama, comments from the developers and more. The soundtrack will be released on March 1st 2019 for a price of 4,000 Yen.

Devil May Cry is a series that has completely skipped Nintendo platforms so far, and that includes the upcoming Devil May Cry 5. The producer of that game, Capcom’s Hidaki Itsuno, was recently on a press tour for Devil May Cry 5 and talked to a number of outlets, including VG 24/7. They asked him about the possibility of Dante, the series’ main character, being added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character. Here’s what Itsuno had to say:

Version 3.2.0 of Fire Emblem Heroes is now available, and alongside a host of other changes, the new Heroic Ordeals mode can now be played. There’s a unique map for every single character, and clearing that map gets you Dragonflowers, a new item which lets you increase the stats of Heroes.

As part of the 2nd anniversary celebration, the Hector & Matthew’s Battle Summoning Focus is available only today. The focus units are Hector: General of Ostia, Matthew: Faithful Spy and Serra: Outspoken Cleric.

Finally, as is the case every Thursday, Tactics Drills got updated with a new map. “Naga Powered Up” can be found in the Skill Studies section.

Mega Man 11

Yesterday, we reported on Capcom’s financial results, including the sales success of the games they released last year. However, they were pretty vague on the actual sales numbers, only stating that, for example, Mega Man 11 “reported strong sales”. Now, thanks to a transcript of a Q&A session that was held after Capcom’s recent financial results briefing, we have concrete numbers for some Mega Man titles.

Mega Man 11 has sold 870,000 copies last year, while Mega Man X Legacy Collection sits at 920,000 copies sold (the Q&A doesn’t make it 100% clear whether this is Legacy Collection 1 or 1+2). Note that these are the sales numbers for all platforms the games launched on, not just Nintendo Switch.
