World of Goo on Switch works with the touchscreen, motion pointer

When World of Goo comes to Switch next month, you’ll be able to play the game in a variety of ways. For one thing, the system’s touchscreen is supported. A motion pointer option is also included similar to the Wii version back in the day.

Original (2/9): Snake Pass has a big name working on its soundtrack. According to the official Steam page, David Wise is handling the music.
Wise is one of the most well-known composers working in the gaming industry right right. In his early days, he worked on a bunch of games for Rare. More recently, he was involved with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and the upcoming Yooka-Laylee.
We should have more on Snake Pass in the near future.

Dragon Quest VIII – bonus SpotPass items now being distributed

When Dragon Quest VIII launched in the west last month, new items were supposed to be delivered via SpotPass. For whatever reason though, nothing had been sent out to player – until now. Nintendo confirmed on Twitter today that, although “later than planned”, bonus items are going out.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia – Japanese special edition images, soundtrack previews

Nintendo is now taking pre-orders for the Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia – Valentia Complete edition in Japan today. To give fans a better idea as to what they’re purchasing, Nintendo gave a preview of sorts.
First, we have several images showing the special artbook, Sound Selection Echoes CD, and Fire Emblem HD Movie Collection. The CD can also be found in the Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Limited Edition.
The artbook will be 40 pages long, while the Blu-ray disc with HD versions of all the movies from Radiant Dawn, Awakening, Fates, and Echoes is over 90 minutes long.
Last but not least, we have a few samples from the CD. Below you can listen to two comparison tracks of the original Famicom version and the new arrangement for the remake. The first is a battle theme whereas the second is a chapter 2 map theme.
Mutant Alien Moles of the Dead heading to the Wii U eShop

EnjoyUp Games and Pixel Bones Studio have announced Mutant Alien Moles of the Dead for the Wii U eShop, “a game of reflexes in which your mission is to foil the plans of an alien invader that is attempting to conquer the planet from underground.” Players need to whack away at aliens with their hammer once they pop up through holes. If you’re not quick enough, they’ll bite you.
Mutant Alien Moles of the Dead is indeed a new take on Whack-A-Mole. Mutant Alien Moles of the Dead hopes to freshen up the experience “with the added diversity of events and extras, such as rock-paper-scissors battles, power ups and much more.
Features include:
– Fully tactile
– Power-ups
– A colorful, carefree world
– Stage bosses
– Rock-paper-scissors battles
– Game & Watch style platform stage
– A secret level for more experienced players

Megami Meguri trailer shows off the new update

Capcom just finished working on a sizable update for its Japanese 3DS game Megami Meguri. A new video was published today, showing what we can expect.
Here’s the trailer:
The update shows off the following:
– Three new goddesses and new story: the new goddesses are Okitsu Shimahime, Ichiki Shimahime and Takitsuhime
– Trip Memories Album: Can take photos from more scenery
– Visit Goddess: Can talk with senior goddesses
– New interactions and costumes for Tsukumo
– More features when tapping IC cards like getting food and festival T-shirts from visited regions. Over 300 stations in Japan are supported.
– Trip Melody: Has sound test, can listen to BGMs. New BGMs added through DLC. Tsukumo’s song can also be downloaded.
Megami Meguri players actually have access to this update right now.

Miitomo – Lucina mask available, new Miitomo Drop stage and items (2/9/17)

Miitomo has been updated with more content. Users will find a new collaboration reward, stage, and some brand new items.
First, the Fire Emblem retweet event surpassed its 10,000 goal. Because of that, Nintendo is handing out Lucina’s mask from Fire Emblem Awakening. Simply boot up Miitomo and claim your gift by March 2 at 6:59 PM PT / 9:59 PM ET to obtain it.
“Explore the unknown! Space Style #1” is the new stage. It includes the following:
– Horoscope hairpin
– Constellation dress
– Earth tee
– Astro-pal
And as far as the new items go, you can nab the following:
– Logo beanie
– Duffle coat + striped sweater
– Plaid wide-hem pants
– Short two-tone boots
– Leather tassel backpack
