Club Nintendo Europe just added in a “Goodbye Coin” yesterday as its final reward. Only a day has passed, but the item has already disappeared from the site. I suppose it was a very hot commodity!

Gregg Mayles, a former staffer on Rare, has been posting several images of concept art of Donkey Kong over the past few days on Twitter.

Here’s a look at everything that was shared:

Rare worked on several Donkey Kong games during the ’90s. These include Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Land, and Donkey Kong 64.

Last month, lots of information pertaining to Splatoon was uncovered through data mining. We saw new gear as well as a new set of weapons.

While we did hear about it during the leak, another image has come in showing one of Splatoon’s upcoming weapons. You know how these things go. If you’d like to see what the new weapon is, head past the break!

More:

Collectible Badge Center, Nintendo’s Japanese 3DS application, has received its weekly update. This time around, thirteen panels from Yoshi’s Woolly World have been added along with two free goes and a new set of four Baito badges. Take a look at some photos above.

Splatoon has been selling very, very well – especially in Japan. The game is also quickly catching up on another one of Nintendo’s releases from late last year, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

Splatoon has actually sold more than Smash Bros. Wii U through their first 14 weeks. You can see a comparison of sales below.

Of course, it’s important to remember that the latest Smash Bros. had two version: one for Wii U, and another for 3DS.

Splatoon is sitting at nearly 610,000 units in Japan at the moment. As for Smash Bros. Wii U, its lifetime sales are at roughly 670,000 copies.

Nintendo UK and Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic Games just wrapped up a stream for Super Mario Maker. The full recording can be found below.

Donkey Kong and Bowser are both included in Skylanders SuperChargers. But interestingly enough, a few other Nintendo characters were considered for the game.

One idea developer Vicarious Visions had was to make a Warrior Princess Peach with a sword. However, Nintendo didn’t approve the idea because that would have been out of character, and all Super Mario Bros. hero characters were off limits.

Kirby was also considered to be a potential character in Skylanders SuperChargers. He would have been able to suck up enemies and bounce around the screen. Since Kirby is partially owned by HAL Laboratory, he couldn’t be licensed out to Activision.

Star Fox was yet another Nintendo character that Vicarious Visions thought about including. He didn’t make it in, however – perhaps so that the Big N could keep the focus on its own title, Star Fox Zero.

Skylanders SuperChargers and its Skylanders SuperChargers Racing equivalent for 3DS and Wii will release on September 20. You’ll find development details about Bowser and Donkey Kong in the game below.

Polygon and GameSpot both have a couple of new videos up showing gameplay from Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash. We’ve included both below.

This month’s issue of GamesTM will have what sounds like a pretty big feature with Shigeru Miyamoto. We’re not entirely sure what will be included, but likely an interview at the very least.

GamesTM’s newest edition goes on sale next Thursday.

Earlier today, the magazine shared the news on Twitter:
