Following ZaciSa’s Last Stand, ZeNfA Productions has announced “Drop It: Block Paradise!” for the Wii U eShop. The physics-based puzzle game is targeted for launch in Q2 2016.

Here’s what we know thus far:

– Guide the main Star to the ground level by removing other blocks around you while trying to rank up points
– Level editor included
– Share levels online
– Builds off of BLOK DROP U from RCMADIAX
– This game has new mechanics, including balloons, bouncing blocks, moving platforms, exploding bombs and lots more
– In development since around November 2014
– 5 worlds
– Different theme and mechanics for each world
– Over 100 levels, possibly 150
– Aiming to include online rankings for each world that shows off your total score for that world, in-game achievements, Miiverse stamps
– Earn stamps by unlocking achievements
– Wii Remote support to allow multiple people to play at once

Super Mario 64 DS joins the European Wii U Virtual Console lineup on December 24. Watch the official trailer below.

Chequered Cow Games has announced Power Disc Slam, a 3DS eShop game inspired by the Neo Geo title Windjammers. It’ll come with a number of single-player modes, 6 mini-games with 8 levels apiece, difficulty settings local and online multiplayer, StreetPass support, and online rankings. Full stereoscopic support and 60 frames per second are also supported.

Power Disc Slam will be available on the 3DS eShop early next year. A trailer for the game can be found below.

Satoru Shibata, president of Nintendo of Europe, published a lengthy message on the company’s website today with the arrival of the holidays. Read it in full below.

Hello everyone!

This is Satoru Shibata from Nintendo of Europe.

I would like to thank you all for your tremendous support of Nintendo in 2015.

With Mr Iwata passing away in July, this year has proven to be a real challenge for us, as well as for me personally. It saddened me not only as president of Nintendo of Europe, but as a fellow Nintendo Direct presenter. Looking back at the overwhelming number of tributes you all have paid, it again brought home to me just how much he was loved.

Update: Some additional news is in from Bandai Namco. The European release has been moved forward to February 12. The eShop demo is coming on January 21, which will likely be the case in North America as well.


Bandai Namco has put up a new English trailer for Project X Zone 2. You can watch it below.

As shown in the video, Bandai Namco is preparing to release an English Project X Zone 2 demo. This will be available on the eShop sometime next month.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Dragon Quest XI remains at the top, and a few other 3DS games are in the top ten.
