Nintendo previously confirmed that the second wave of amiibo are releasing in December. However, the company still has not provided a final date.

That’s where Amazon and Walmart come in. Both retailers are listing December 14 release dates for the second round of amiibo like Luigi and Zelda.

The 3DS features functionality that allows users to join online sessions of their friends. By heading to the Friend List, you simply tap “Join Friend’s Game” to connect.

With the release of Super Smash Bros., the Wii U now has similar functionality. You can join a friend’s session by touching the “Available to play!” area of the Friend List. It should come in handy!

I know a few folks had some doubts as to whether the defective Samus amiibo we posted yesterday was real or not. The figure’s owner has now posted additional images, which does seem to ultimately confirm that the story wasn’t fabricated.
