[Video Feature] Eggbusters Beta Episode – Super Mario Galaxy 2
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, Podcast Stories, Videos | 0 comments
If ‘Mythbusters’ was combined video games and worse quality equipment, you would have “Eggbusters”.
Alas, last week’s episode of “Two People Playin’ Games” has brought about the end of that test series until further notice, but in its place is something I’ve wanted to try for a while now: Mythbusters, but for video game myths and glitches and easter eggs! I’m calling it “Eggbusters” despite the fact that I’m not really busting anything and we’re doing glitches– not easter eggs, but whatever. Perhaps a better name would have been “Glitchtryers”, but that sounds dumb.
Okay so does “Eggbusters”, but it’s better than “Glitchtryers”.
Check out both parts (each containing one glitch I read about online) and then try the ones that worked out for yourself! Pay not mind to the roughness around the edges, as that will be ironed out with subsequent “beta” entries.

But Austin, what am I about to watch!?
Do you like Mythbusters? Do you like “Let’s Play” videos? Then you’ll love this! Aysha and Austin shift gears for this week’s episode of TPPG by taking on some rumored easter eggs and glitches in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, seeing which ones pan out and which ones are just lies floating in an ocean of beautiful blue Gamecube graphics.

This episode was really awesome because it was the first time that me, Jack, Laura, AND Aysha have been together for an episode since some of the very first ones we recorded. Some great discussions about how Twilight Princess was (or wasn’t!) as artistic as the other Zelda games, how the new Monolith Soft game might not be so colorful either, and plenty of talking about the Nintendo Direct! Top ten list? The things YOU guys are most excited about from the Nintendo Direct!

[Video Opinion] “Where did all the color go?” – A trailer analysis of Monolith Soft’s “X”
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, Podcast Stories, Videos, Wii U | 2 Comments
I made this video back on Wednesday (hence why it sounds like I thought the Nintendo Direct was “today”) but neglected to put it up because I feel as though its production values are rather low. Still, I think I trust you guys to be able to look passed the low recording quality and poor editing just this once to see the point I’m trying to make. What’s the point I’m trying to make?
Xenoblade is way more colorful (and in my opinion better looking) than Monolith Soft’s new game “X”. I think “X” looks like baloney visually, even if the game will be good for other aspects.
We have one or two more features coming today and this is the least important of them so I’m just tossing it up in the afternoon willy nilly. Expect a new ‘Two People Playin’ Games’ beta episode and a new ‘Here’s a Podcast’ later tonight!
NintendoEverything Reader Poll #2 – What was your favorite part about Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct?

Good ol’ Reggie, getting ready for a Nintendo Direct.
But Austin, what the heck am I about to vote on!?

Results will be read in the form of our top ten list on the next podcast, and if you opted to answer the written question your answer could (and probably will!) be read on the show!

[NintendoEverything Video] Wii U Virtual Console Features – Restore Points, Customizable Controls, etc
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, News, Videos | 0 comments
Went ahead and captured this footage for you all, just in case you want to see it in action!
Notes:
– Controls are completely customizable, button for button
– The only buttons that can’t be customized are the control pad(s)
– Virtual Console games are played in 4:3 as opposed to 16:9 (not widescreen)
– Restore points can be set via the Virtual Console menu (accessed by pressing ZR using default controls)
– Quitting a game via the home menu will also create a restore point, just like on Wii/3DS
– Dual-Gamepad support is hinted at, but I can’t confirm that yet
– Something I missed in the video is that the game automatically shows up on the TV and Gamepad at the same time, like NSMBU
[Feature] Two People Playin’ Games Beta Episode 4 – Pokémon Snap!
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, Podcast Stories, Videos | 0 comments
But Austin, what am I about to watch!?
This week on TPPGBE4, Austin and Aysha take on the fickle Professor Oak, trying their best to fulfill his devilish requirements for Pokémon photography. They don’t do very good, but they had a lot of fun even though it took them 10 hours to put this episode together.

This episode features a weird discussion about how games aren’t as hard as they used to be in the same way that they used to be, and a top ten list about the 3DS games you readers are all looking forward to most!
