Gengar getting new cushion with roll out blanket tongue

A new piece of Pokemon merchandise is on the way, and it looks pretty incredible.
Gengar fans will be happy to hear about the newest Bandai-P product. The company is coming out with a cushion featuring a roll out blanket tongue. The dimensions are H48×W55×D53 cm with the tongue at roughly 170cm long.
Pricing for the cushion is set at 25,950 yen, or about $250. It should ship in June 2021.

Ask Iwata confirmed for English release on April 13

When Ask Iwata was announced for an English release a few months back, we heard that it was on track for Spring 2021. Viz Media has now set a final release date.

Microsoft has been going strong with the Xbox brand for a few generations of hardware. Originally though, the company could have pursued a much different path.
Revealed as part of a feature from Bloomberg, it turns out that Microsoft originally approached various companies about acquisitions two decades ago, including Nintendo. But when the two sides met, Nintendo was “just laughing” the entire time. That’s according to Kevin Bachus, the former director of third-party relations at Microsoft.

Nintendo has unveiled a new website for Super Nintendo World a month before the theme park’s opening at Universal Studios Japan.
The website contains an overview of several attractions and park features, including Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure, interactive elements, the Power-Up Band, restaurants, and merchandise available for purchase.

Nintendo acquires developer Next Level Games

After an agreement in which Nintendo has obtained 100 percent of the company’s shares, Next Level games has now become a subsidiary. The deal closes on March 1st, making the Vancouver, Canada company fully-owned by Nintendo. As developers of titles like Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Super Mario Strikers Charged, as well as the more recent Luigi’s Mansion 3, it is clear that the team will be put to good use. Street Fighter Alpha 2 hidden method discovered after 25 years to unlock Shin Akuma

After 25 years, it’s been discovered that Shin Akuma can be unlocked in Street Fighter Alpha 2.
Gizaha, a modder, was looking to reverse engineer the game’s code in hopes of improving performance. In doing so, he came across a series of steps that lets players access Shin Akuma. While the character appeared as a secret boss character, it wasn’t until recently that the unlock method was made known.

Sonic the Hedgehog prototype has been discovered

It’s been three decades since the original release of Sonic the Hedgehog. This week though, there was a major discovery related to the game. Despite how long its been since the 1991 launch, a new prototype popped up online.

EarthBound vinyl soundtrack pre-orders open

We recently reported that EarthBound – otherwise known as Mother 2 – will be getting a vinyl soundtrack in Japan. Pre-orders have now opened.

F-Zero GX producer Toshihiro Nagoshi open to working on the series again, would want new game to be challenging

Nintendo hasn’t done much with the F-Zero series in well over a decade. F-Zero GX, one of the series’ last major entries, came out way back in 2003 for the GameCube.
Toshihiro Nagoshi is known for the Yakuza series these days, but fans may remember that he held an important role on F-Zero GX. Nagoshi was actually a producer on the game all of those years ago. It seems as though he still has fond memories of the project, as he’d be open to revisiting the series.
