Shuntaro Furukawa officially replaces Tatsumi Kimishima as Nintendo’s next president, comments from both

A few months ago, Tatsumi Kimishima announced that he would be stepping down as president of Nintendo. He had also named Shuntaro Furukawa as his successor.
During the company’s 78th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders today, Furukawa was officially named Nintendo’s new president. We have the following comments from both Furukawa and Kimishima:

Ace Attorney anime season 2 news coming at Anime Expo 2018

With Anime Expo 2018 right around the corner, Crunchyroll has finally unveiled their plans for the upcoming convention. Among these plans is the promise of news regarding the hotly anticipated second season of the Ace Attorney anime series.
On Friday July 6th at 11:30am, the creative staff behind the series Shu Takumi, Koji Nagai, and Motohide Eshiro will sit down with fans to discuss their experiences from working on the anime.

A trio of Kirby albums are now available through digital music services. HAL Laboratory is releasing Kirby Memorial Arrangements, Kirby: Planet Robobot Original Soundtrack, and Kirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert.

Bayonetta 2 art book receiving English translation

Back in 2014, a Bayonetta 2 art book, The Eyes of Bayonetta 2, was released in Japan. Now four years later, the book is finally seeing a localized release.

Best Buy details plans for NES Classic Edition restock

Like other retailers, Best Buy will be restocking the NES Classic Edition this Friday. The retailer shared its plans today about how it will be approaching the event.
Best Buy indicates that it won’t be taking pre-orders. The NES Classic Edition will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis when stores open Friday. Customers will be limited to purchasing one unit. If a line forms at a store before the doors open, Best Buy will use the same ticketing process from Black Friday.
It sounds like Best Buy will also have some inventory online. When the NES Classic Edition goes up, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Nintendo Life caught up with Dark Horse editor Patrick Thorpe for a discussion about the publisher’s Zelda books. Thorpe spoke about how the partnership with Nintendo started, revealed that Hyrule Historia has sold nearly one million copies, and talked about the Zelda timeline.

The Teen Choice Awards have been going strong for nearly two decades. Fans are able to make their voices heard across a number of different entertainment categories, including TV shows, movies, and video games.
For this year’s show, a few Nintendo-related titles have been nominated under the “Choice Videogame” category. Two hit games in Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey are included.
