E3 2021

With E3 2021 just a few weeks away, another set of companies have been confirmed for the big digital event. Notable names include Bandai Namco, SEGA, Square Enix, and XSEED.

Super Animal Royale

Modus Games and Pixile’s popular top-down 2D battle royale Super Animal Royale is on the way to Switch, the two companies revealed today. A release date was not announced.

RiMS Racing

The motorcycling simulation title RiMS Racing was announced for Switch last month, but the first trailer didn’t show any actual gameplay. We now have a follow up video that provides a proper look.

Death Crown

Following previous delays, Death Crown now appears to have a final release date. Badland Publishing, Co5monaut, and Stas Pisarev have passed along a new May 13 release date for the game.

Nacon, Cyanide Studio, and Leikir Studio have shared the latest video for Rogue Lords. Today’s video focuses on the devil.

Chris Meledandri

Here’s a bit of interesting news stemming from Nintendo’s financial report. Chris Meledandri, the CEO of Illumination Entertainment, is expected to become an outside director at the Big N. The move should go into effect during Nintendo’s 81st Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on June 29.

Nintendo and Illumination are currently partnering on the upcoming Super Mario animated movie. Meledandri and Shigeru Miyamoto are closely involved with the project.

Nintendo Switch

Switch secured another milestone today stemming from Nintendo’s latest financial results. At a total of 84.59 million units, it has now outsold the Game Boy Advance. The GBA’s total sits at 81.51 million units.

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Switch sales had surpassed those of the 3DS. The console has also outsold the Wii U, GameCube, N64, SNES, and NES.

There’s a chance that Switch could end up as Nintendo’s best-selling platform of all time. Wii (101.63 million), Game Boy (118.69) million, and DS (154.02 million) are currently ahead. However, Switch sales have not slowed down at all since launching in March 2017.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

Nintendo’s latest financial results have provided an update on the latest million sellers. A number of Switch titles have reached new milestones.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is one of the newest additions to the list. Since launch, the game has sold over five million copies.
