It’s been a long time coming, but Nintendo Everything’s longest-running feature with the lowest number of updates is back and ready to cover a whole new platform of import games. I not so recently bought a Japanese New 3DS while overseas so now I can actually write about games that came out during this decade. And now six months later I’m finally taking some time out from managing my Girls Mode 3 store and decorating my home menu with badges of Waluigi in a train to review my favourite Japan-exclusive 3DS title I’ve played so far – Daigasso! Band Brothers P. This game mixes rhythm gameplay with the ability to create and share your own composition to create a unique experience that’s unlike anything else on the 3DS. There aren’t many other games that do such a great job of making players feel like they’re part of a band – and without a single plastic instrument, too!

Image & Form is planning a game that connects SteamWorld Heist and SteamWorld Dig. That’s according to Brjann Sigurgeirsson, who shared the information during an interview with Power Up Gaming.

When asked if Steamworld Heist ties into Steamworld Dig, Sigurgeirsson said:

“It does, yeah. There are some flashbacks. But there is at least one game coming in between so that game is sort of going to tie them both backwards and forwards.”

Sigurgeirsson sadly didn’t provide any additional details. He was asked about what sort of game Image & Form has in mind, but only mentioned:

“I’m not sure. *Laughs* Well, I’m not sure I’m going to talk about it. *Laughs* Right now we’re sort of focusing on Heist so I don’t want to get into details about it.”

Several new games out came out this week on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. If you’re interested in checking out what’s new in screenshot form, take a peak at the gallery below.

Circle Entertainment provided an update on Witch & Hero’s sales on Twitter a few hours ago. Since launch, the game sold almost 170,000 copies worldwide.

68 percent of Witch & Hero’s sales originate from Asia, and that’s without a discount. North America and Europe appear to lag pretty far behind.

Nearly half of Witch & Hero’s North American sales came from its discount periods. Similarly, 60 percent of its sales in Europe happened while the price was slashed.

Check out this interview with Sean Velasco and Nick Wozniak from Yacht Club Games as they talk about the upcoming Plague of Shadows DLC for Shovel Knight:

Special challenges on Pokémon Shuffle have given player the opportunity to gain Mega Stones for Pokémon that are typically unobtainable by normal means in the game. We’ve had many events since Pokémon Shuffle released earlier in the year, and we now have another one to join the ranks, this time for Garchomp!

The Mega Garchomp challenge is now live and will run until August 17th. Just like most of the other Mega Stone challenges so far, this is a competition to see which players can rank the highest in their respective regions. If you’re one of the top 12k in Europe, 18k in North America, and 50k in Japan, you’ll earn a Garchompite for Mega Garchomp. If you happen to also place in the top 16k in Europe, 26k in North America, or 70k in Japan, you’ll receive an Attack Power Up, while the top 3k in Europe, 5k in North America and 15k in Japan will also obtain a Mega Speedup alongside the previously listed. As usual, if you happen to not rank in your region you will still be awarded a Jewel just for trying, so give it a shot! You have nothing to lose!

Hoenn’s third legendary Rayquaza makes its return to Pokémon Shuffle! For players that weren’t able to obtain Rayquaza the first time around, you now have another chance to catch the green beast.

This event will run until August 17th. As usual, be sure to Check In to update your game and gain access to this event. Good luck!
