Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove gives you everything you need to play Shovel Knight on Switch. But Yacht Club also released Specter of Torment separately, which some may have opted for if they played the original game on other platforms like 3DS or Wii U.

If you’re one of these people, you might be interested to hear about a unique discount. A sale is now in place where if you’ve bought Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment previously, you can receive a 40% discount on Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove.

You should see the discount automatically when viewing Treasure Trove on the eShop if you bought Specter of Torment. Also, it’s available automatically for new sales of Specter of Torment. Note that discount percentage may vary slightly based on region.

Homebear Studios has confirmed that its puzzle-adventure game NAIRI: Tower of Shirin is bound for Switch. It’s currently on track to launch this fall.

Aside from being “a cute graphic adventure with adorable visuals,” the game also promises “compelling characters and engaging puzzles”. The premise is that Nairi, a young woman from the rich district of Shirin, is forced to abandon her rich and sheltered life following a certain incident. She finds herself in a seedy lower district of the city ruled by gangs.

PC Gamer recently spoke with a few different developers to see how indie games on Switch compare to Steam. Tyler Sigman of Darkest Dungeon developer Red Hook Studios, Tommy Refenes of Super Meat Boy developer Team Meat, and Brjann Sigurgeirsson of SteamWorld Dig 2 developer Image & Form all weighed in.

One of the big topics discussed for the feature was Switch sales. All three of these developers commented on how well their games have sold on the eShop.

Carlos Coronado has announced that his non-linear first-person survival game Infernium is coming to Switch. Expect it on the eShop “really, really soon”.

Infernium has enemies that you generally can’t kill or damage, meaning you’ll be chased quite a bit. You’ll need to make your way through 17 interconnected non-linear levels in a persistent world. New Game+ and multiple endings should keep the experience fresh. The game is also confirmed to run at 720p and 30 frames per second on Switch.

The British Academy Games Awards – otherwise known as BAFTA – announced its nominees for its 2018 Game Awards today. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is included in five different categories while Super Mario Odyssey is in three. Both are nominated for “Best Game”.

For the “Family” category, almost all of the nominees are on Switch. They include Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Snipperclips, the latter of which is also up for “Game Innovation”.

A number of new deals are up and running on the North American Switch eShop. I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphear, Floor Kids, and Enter the Gungeon are just some of the highlights. A number of other titles are on sale as well.

It was only a couple of months ago that Tomorrow Corporation announced 7 Billion Humans, a followup to Human Resource Machine. Along with that project, the studio has also been working on something entirely different.

Tomorrow Corporation has pulled back the curtain on Welcome to the Information Superhighway, which the developer says is “shaping up to be one of the more game-like games we’ve made.” We only have this tease thus far and a few pieces of concept art:
