Switch

Toxic Games that its first-person puzzle title Q.U.B.E. 2 is coming to Switch. Not only will it have a release on the eShop, but Super Rare Games will also be offering a physical version.

Here’s an overview for Q.U.B.E. 2, along with a trailer:

Mega Man 11

Yesterday, we reported on Capcom’s financial results, including the sales success of the games they released last year. However, they were pretty vague on the actual sales numbers, only stating that, for example, Mega Man 11 “reported strong sales”. Now, thanks to a transcript of a Q&A session that was held after Capcom’s recent financial results briefing, we have concrete numbers for some Mega Man titles.

Mega Man 11 has sold 870,000 copies last year, while Mega Man X Legacy Collection sits at 920,000 copies sold (the Q&A doesn’t make it 100% clear whether this is Legacy Collection 1 or 1+2). Note that these are the sales numbers for all platforms the games launched on, not just Nintendo Switch.

Dead or School

In July of last year, Studio Nanafushi announced Dead or School, a side-scrolling action game with RPG elements, for Nintendo Switch. Today, they shared an update on the game’s development. The Switch version is planned for a release in Japan in August. A physical version of the game will also be available. A Western release has not yet been confirmed; however, the Steam version of the game, which is already out, features English text, so it’s certainly possible that the Switch version will be released outside Japan as well.

Last week, Piranha Plant was added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a new playable character. It can be used in all sorts of game modes and isn’t just limited to regular battles. But soon after the character was made available, reports started to surface that using Piranha Plant in All-Star mode could corrupt save data.

Newsweek has now obtained an official statement, and Nintendo says it “has not been able to confirm that there is an issue”. The full comment reads:
