Absolute Drift getting a physical release on Switch

Publisher Serenity Forge and developer Funselektor Labs announced this week that the top-down minimalist driving game Absolute Drift is getting a physical release on Switch. While it’s been on the system since the end of 2020, the title has only been offered as a digital download on the eShop.
The Absolute Drift: Premium Physical Edition will include a collectible folded poster that matches the minimalist style of the game, a stylized sticker sheet, and a 3D lenticular card.

Clea and Clea 2 update adds War Maiden Mode on Switch

Clea and Clea 2 were updated not too long ago on Switch, with both games adding a new War Maiden Mode.
Developer InvertMouse describes the mode as its “ultimate challenge to players who have dominated the campaign.” At the end, players can unlock the War Gear costume. The mode can be accessed in the first Clea by completing the campaign with the best ending while Clea 2 becomes available once you have conquered Clea’s Quest with a silver or higher rank.

Japanese Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl fans on version they chose, starter Pokemon, more

A little while back, Japanese magazine Famitsu conducted a survey for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. Fans were asked about various topics, such as the version they chose, the starter Pokemon they went with, and the Gym leader they found the toughest to fight.
According to the survey results, Famitsu registered 685 men, 190 women, and 32 “other” as participants. The breakdown of ages was as follows: under 10: 2 people; teens: 205 people; 20s: 545 people; 30s: 131 people; 40s: 16 people; 50s: 6 people; 60s or older: 2 people.
Kao the Kangaroo dev has further plans beyond the new game

After Kao the Kangaroo went missing for well over a decade, the franchise is finally back in the spotlight. Tate Multimedia announced last month that it’s revisiting the series with a new 3D platformer currently in development for Switch.
In an interview with GamesIndustry, head of development Wojtek Bilinski teased plans for the future. While experimenting with different prototypes, the team also thought about a remake along with “a more advanced game with a much older Kao and a bigger emphasis on combat.”

Minecraft gets new Street Fighter collaboration with World Warrior DLC

Mojang Studios has announced that starting today, Minecraft players can get their hands on a new Street Fighter collaboration as part of the World Warrior skin pack.
The DLC from 57Digital and Capcom features characters from the Street Fighter series including Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li. There are 35 skins in total. Players can also claim one free Character Creator item plus twelve paid character creator items.

Phantom Breaker: Omnia trailer introduces Infinity

Another fitness title is on the way to Switch with Ravenscourt, Voxler, and Exkee having announced Let’s Get Fit this week. It will launch in Spring 2022.
Let’s Get Fit features pre-made workouts along with the ability to create an infinite number of custom workout routines. Various exercises are available, including soft gymnastics, high-intensity workouts, and activities for specific muscle groups.

The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails coming to Switch on May 26 in Japan with a physical edition

Falcom has announced the exact release day of the Switch version of The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails. The game is coming to Japan on May 26, 2022 and it will receive a physical edition for 3,980 yen (3,600 yen for the digital purchase). This physical edition will also come with a 2 disc soundtrack that has 60 songs on it.
This, of course, comes alongside the other improved features like enhanced graphics, improved frame rate, and better sound quality. The western release date of the game is still set for 2023, and this Japanese version will not support English language options.
