Pokemon GO has added a new Legendary Pokemon. Starting today, Regice can be found in Raid Battles worldwide. The Pokemon will be live until July 19.
Regirock and Registeel are also planned for Pokemon GO. Both should be rolled out in subsequent weeks.
Side note: Solrock and Lunatone have now switched regions to commemorate the Solstice.
As far as we know, Japan is the only region where Okami HD is having a physical release on Switch. Thankfully, you can import the game, and we’re now hearing that English will be a supported language option. That isn’t overly surprising given Capcom’s handling of other Switch titles, but the confirmation is reassuring.
Play-Asia currently has pre-orders open for the physical version of Okami HD on Switch. You can reserve the standard release here or limited edition with a soundtrack CD here.
Four Horses issued a launch trailer for Miles & Kilo, which is slated for July 5 on the Switch eShop. Have a look at the video below.
The new friends, trading, and gifts features announced for Pokemon GO this week are now live. However, there is a caveat.
In order to add friends, you’ll need to be at level 40. You’ll receive a notice about this if you attempt to use the functionality at a lower level. This is likely to be a temporary restriction, though it’s unclear when Niantic will make it available to a wider array of players.
Nintendo has updated its maintenance schedule for the next few days. One session is planned tonight, with two more scheduled for next week.

A few months ago, we heard that game historian and Retronauts podcast host Jeremy Parish was putting together a vertical grip for Switch in partnership with Fangamer. A Kickstarter for the project, known as Flip Grip, has gone live today here.
Flip Grip will need to reach its $42,500 goal by July 9. If successful, the accessory will move forward. Users will be able to flip the Switch 90 degrees for vertical handheld action.
Thanks to Ben for the tip.
The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia finally arrived in the west this week. Previously, the book was only available in Japan.
Fans are picking up on some interesting tidbits from the book, including the fact that the first Zelda takes place entirely on Death Mountain from A Link to the Past. Here’s a comparison:

You can try out three different levels in the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker demo. The full version launches July 13.
